for Rudy to be on the hot seat? I won't use this as a bash Rudy thread, but hypothetically, when does Les run out of patience with Rudy? Assuming we are stuck in mediocrity. If Rudy weren't a lifelong Rocket, I would think that his butt would be on the hot seat. Not only because of our poor record, but the fact that we don't play smart or hard. You must play with 1 of those 2, but very rarely have we done that this year.
I think the situation has been handled in the best manner thus far. I fully expect next year to be Rudy's true "hot-seat" year, and if the team still sucks when healthy you will definitely see some major changes, be it coaching, front office, or players, next year.
I do understand that Rudy gets some leeway for the 2 titles, as well as injuries. I keep forgetting that we are a .500 or so team with Francis.
We are definitely better than .500 with a completely healthy team. Don't fool yourself with our early season record. Our team hadn't developed any chemistry, Mo was out, Griffin was a non-factor, and Rice was hurting. Cato wasn't playing up to his potential, but sure, he wasn't hurt. We can top last year's record by 5 games if healthy.
Rudy better not be on the hotseat next year. The only thing that should get him on the hotseat is if we have this same record and we're in this exact same boat with a healthy roster. There's way way too much out of Rudy's control that has happened this season to start pointing fingers. Granted, I'm very upset with a lot of things he does, but I still want to give him his chance to have the team at full strength.
I remember a poll done recently about the thread we despise seeing the most........what was the choice that won again???
