What does "Defensive Three" means?

    it means a small forward whose main asset is defense like eddie would be a complete player but since he has great defensive skills and can play some 3 albeit mainly a 4 and later a 5, thus he is labeled as some a defensive three.

    A classic case would be scottie pippen during his bulls days, as much as i despise the man he did play excellent defense for a sf at that time.

    I thought you were asking about the defensive 3 second call. If so, a defender cannot stand in the paint for 3 seconds unless he is guarding someone. If he is called for a defensive 3, its an automatic technical foul.

    well i have no knowledge of his prior thread njrocket, but yes , eddie griffin, nj rockets definition does apply as well, just depends on what youre referring to

    If it's true it means you can't play zone defense. In Europe this move is allowed...

    You can play zone... you just can't stand in the lane for 3 seconds and defend no one.
