I don't get it. Brooks = Mike James on speed. Brooks is a 6-0 shooting guard with PG handles but not PG court vision. So why the hell does RA play him as a starting PG and with so much minutes? He should be in the bobby jackson role, who is a good shooter off the bench... Lowry has been so much more consistent with his PG duties and shots at a much better FG % since he's been a rocket. He also has better shot selections and shoots less, and drives in alot better and draws the fouls... I"m fine with lowry shooting open 3s, since he seems to make those pretty well. Brook just chucks those damn 3s and he's not even that great of a 3pt shooter. I think if brook is going to start, at least cut down on his minutes so that brooks and lowry has the amount of playing time...

I'd be curious about next year. No way RA lets Lowry take over this season no matter what but come next year...

Well, let's just see what happens.

What planet do you live on????? Mike james = dribble dribble shoot, or dribble dribble drive. Brooks=dribble dribble shoot, or dribble dribble drive. They both look for their own shoots but brooks does by running around faster. Both are chuckers. Have u even seen mike james play? If not, don't even bother posting.

    Brooks = game-changing speed.
Mike James = No game-changing speed.

Brooks can get around ANYONE in the league. James never could. He's a guy who had a few good shooting years. He never had Brooks' ability, and he was a much bigger chucker than Brooks is.

Brooks makes mistakes, but he has a rare weapon that defenses respect. He helps the offense by just being there.

Maybe Morey's moneyball numbers tell Adelman to start Brooks.

Brooks is not a chucker. I feel his playmaking abilities are quite inferior to Lowry's, but he's not even close to being the chucker that Mike James is.

That's exactly what I said. Brooks= mike james on speed. As far as game changing speed? Umm no. Just because brooks is super fast, doesn't make him tony parker.

    Future.

Brooks has the potential to develop into a 10 million level point guard, Lowry doesn't.

I believe that they just want AB to be Tony Parker of Rox, always try to attack the basket. Since its olny his second year, just give this kid more time ;)

You think Brooks DOESN'T have game-changing speed?

That would be why I asked what planet you're from. Again, just because a guy is a scoring guard, you think he's Mike James+? Yes, I DID watch Mike James play, and he was a chucker. Aaron doesn't chuck with no conscience like James did, even though sometimes I think he should.

I'll will wager that he will not be anything more than a bobby jackson in the future. He doesn't have the strength that tony parker has at finishing at the rim... Parker has nearly 50% fg average.

When brooks has more shot attempts than anyone else in a game AND he is a PG, he is considered a chucker. He has done that more than once this season. Like I said, he is very fast. So what? So was speedy claxton. Did that make him tony parker? NO.

    1. This thread sucks.

    2. Brooks contributes positively to the team by providing the scoring threat at 1. Pace changer, can penetrate, can hit 3. Can look for fast break opportunities to save Yao's energy.

    3. What were people saying when he came off from the bench and Rafer was the starter? Now the same thing with Lowry. We might as well swap the entire starting lineup with the bench, to stifle you whiners.

To further back up my statement, brooks has a .405 fg average. WTF??? That's not even adequate as a SG. Give me a break. I will never understand the love for brooks.
