I see all the fast-food chains picking up credit card machines all of a sudden & it got me thinking what everyone on the board uses. I personally charge everything! It just feels wired caring around cash or checks. Please explain you pick & if you use more than one method just pick the one you use more often. Thanks
Well, when I say "gimme all 20 in singles", she gives me a bad look and says: "And is this your first time ever here, honey? How about at least ONE for me?" I answer: "Heck no... I paid you, right? Did you dance for me? No. These are for the girls INSIDE." And I just go in after I get patted down.
I charge everything and pay the bill off in full every month. That way, you have all your monthly expenditures on one bill. Makes it easier to keep track. I rarely have more than $20 cash in my wallet. And checks? Does anyone still use those things? I haven't written a check for anything since 2004.
Cash first- then debit. People who use credit cards tend to spend 13%-18% more with EACH purchase. Plus, I don't use credit cards at all anymore. Evil, Evil.
I prefer to use cash, but I'll use my checkcard if I don't have any rather than ATMing it out. The worst part about all of this is that the credit card companies are charging the business roughly 2% for this usage, which means it will all be added to the bottom line in fast food costs.
Debit card, maybe cash. I rarely have more than $20 cash on me. I haven't used a credit card in years.
