At this point, I'm fine with Les, my issue is with Morey.

All the BS about Les wanting not to tank is dumb. Morey needs to learn how to manage up. Get the job done, build a contender.

I undestand it was the 90s, but FUBU could have come up with a better design than that

    1. Sammer retired about 12 years ago so he isn't a player anymore
    2. They hired him from the German Soccer Association where he was GM
    3. In Germany as a fan you can sign a membership with a team. Sammer did that 22 years ago despite he played for a rival. In all those years he's been a contributing member. That's why they just respected him in Dortmund but never liked him.

I've been a fan of this franchise since the early 80's. I can probably only count on one hand the people who've been associated with it that I'd say I'm not real fond of. I do not like Les Alexander.

Was referring to the conversion of ex-players to GM, coaches, president....
Munich did that. True but that is nepotism and won't work everywhere

He didn't get rich by being a bad businessman or salesman; however, basketball is obviously not his strong suit. He had a basketball guy as GM who gave away some undeserved big money contracts, so he got a numbers nerd to make better deals. But herein is the problem, the franchise can't seem to acquire better players and that is the conundrum. Cap Space has never made a basket, can't dribble or pass, is very slow, and, by himself, has never been able to attract the best players to join him.

Alexander was once a great owner, probably better than this town deserved. He built one of the elite franchises in the league, one every free agent player would consider playing for. But his horrible choice of Daryl Morey as GM will end up cursing him to his NBA grave.

Can people stop saying Leslie brought a championship to Houston, even Bill Worrell sometimes says it which is stupid because the guy inherited a championship team!!

Exactly .. for those who don't know .. Alexander took over in July 1993.The team was already complete .. He lucked into that and lucked into the #1 pick that brought him Yao.. Every big FA either came to play with Dream or Yao.
