Jeeez, I'm embarrassed. I missed the first question. Luckily I guess the math questions correct.

Exactly the same. I knew the Nile was long, but I didn't realize it was longer than the Amazon.

Get over the fact that it isn't the Amazon, you're in Da Nile.

9/10. It was that first question that got me. I think we're all thinking of the Amazon because it's the widest river in the world?

Oh well. We didn't really do the geography thing in secondary school. That's why I did better with the other stuff. :)

Since I don't like the "real world" and teach instead, I remember quite a lot from school. I just found myself spontaneously telling some freshmen what "Indo-European" was the other day, even though that's completely outside my "field" and I hadn't thought about it for a while. Ferdinand actually has much better power of recall than I do... he remembers just about everything. Since his degree is in geology, no one trusts him to actually be able to do the other stuff.

I can't believe I missed the damn river question.

At least I'm in good company, apparently.:)

The Amazon has so many tributaries which cover such a wide area that it's a natural response.

The only one I was completely sure of was the area of the circle question. I got it right though. 10/10.
