I turn my head away from the TV when Rafer shoots a jumper or drives with that stupid floater he hits 10% of the time. Then I say WT? is he doing when he hasn't hit a 10 footer let alone a 3 pointer.

What tape is RA watching to keep putting this dude on the floor in position to shoot a jumper. FYI, IMO he will not return to his normal below 37% shooting.

Then I list for Worrell to say who got the rebound and then I return to looking at the game. The dude has never had confidence in jumper and never will.

Take a look at those AND1 video and you will see that he never shoots a jump shot in them. Teams are leaving him wide open for bricks.

I give him credit for the lucky layup he hit that rolled off his wrist.

    I sigh.

I was actually one of the few that supports giving rafer a chance since it is still early, but after that game, there is simply no excuse for missing all those wide open three's. Seriously, If I was Rafer, I would do nothing but practice my shooting so that I can at least drain the wide open ones.

I yell NOOOOOOOO the whole time the ball is in the air. Then after the clang I say something like F#CKING BRICKLAYER, CHANGE PROFESSIONS. I swear half of his shots should count as turnovers. They bounce so far off of the rim that they usually result in a fast break. In fact, it's official. I am now changing his TO stat to add half of his 3 point bricks. Now his assist to turnover ratio isn't so shiny :p

I hope it goes in, just like when any other member of the team shoots.

I always say BRIIIICK as the balls in the air because I look smart if he inevitably misses, but if he makes the shot its like I'm putting a jinx on him missing. I think it works out pretty well for my ego AND my karma. There's definitely an underlying constant anxiety associated with any shot Raefer Alston takes.

I immediately hope we get a rebound. That floater last night that klanged off the rim and over the backboard was perfection.

I cringe, hope he makes it, but at the same time know that the bad thing about him making one is that it will only encourage him to try again :(.

i count it as a miss and even when it goes in i get worried. if rafer actually makes two shots in a row its like a double-edge sword...yeah he made them but it will give him confidence to start shooting more which is not good.
