I realized yesterday that every game the Rockets have won I have been at work til right around tip off. Well today I was scheduled to have a day off, so to help out the team, I picked up a shift and will be working tonight until 9:30, LETS GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!

Guinness is usually my beer but during the Portland series the bar I was at Guiness tap was broken so I drank Blue Moon and the Rockets won. The next game I was at another bar that had NBA TV and drank Guinness and the Rockets lost. So far I've noticed that when I drink Blue Moon exclusively and watch the game at this one bar the Rockets have won, with the exception of Game 4 LA series that I watched at home.

Go to Options-> Rules-> Fighting is Allowed, then let Ron and Kobe fight it out.

Realistically, keep Kobe under 25 points, or force him to go above 55 and we'll win. Kobe has to score approximately 1/3 of the Lakers points for them to win. It's a happy equilibrium. However, if he goes above and beyond, or far below, they struggle...

Just play smart. Our defense has been pretty consistent against LA so it shouldn't be a concern, especially without Yao. Now we can guard those pick and rolls with Kobe.

The biggest concern should be on the offensive end. Lakers are a very under average defensive team. What we did in Game 4 - move the ball, MOVE THE BALL (again) and make that extra pass. Don't fall in love with jumpshots and RUN. Also, don't turn the ball over.

What we can control is our energy level. In game 4 we came up FIRED UP. The keys in this series have been quarters 1 and 3. Who wins those periods usually wins the entire game.

And of coure Brooks and Kyle will have to use their SPEED as they did in game 4.

    GO ROCKETS !

I have a gaudy, glittery Rockets belt buckle about 3 inches in diameter. I've worn it to work every day of the playoffs (probably against our dress code). I'm a teacher at a vocational school, and we have a lot of former gang members, kids with criminal records, and so forth. You know, the kind of kids you'd imagine love the Lakers (or think they do; all but about two of them can't name anyone outside of Kobe).

The buckle really raises their ire. I almost had a kid walk out of class yesterday I was talking so much smack.

I typically go out and baseball bat the opposing teams best player in the knee if we REALLLY need a win.

Same here. Home on the couch with or without anyone around. Viewing parties are a no-no for me now unless it's a small group and at a house where i can sit on a couch. It's literally called HOME court advantage for me.
