Dan did the exact same thing last year at the Rocky Mtn. Revue, and then didn't really get a lot of minutes during the year. This year is the same thing in these pre-season games, but will he get enough minutes this year to show the talent he seems to be giving us glimpses of? What if we re-sign Shandon? That really clogs things up at the SF spot with Langi, Griffin, and SA. Not to mention that Walt will log some minutes there too, while he is on his hot streaks. I would love to be able to give Langi 20 minutes a game to see what talent he actually has, but I just don't see how that's going to happen if we resign SA. ------------------ It's Clutch's City and we're all just living in it...

Dan will be a very good role player at the 2 or 3 spot and will give us 15 to 20 minutes. It will be tough if we do not move away from Shandon, Bullard, and/or Walt's minutes. In addition, Dan will be guarding top NBA talent, compare to the summer league talent. No doubt he can score, however, playing defense against the top NBA 2's or 3's will be difficult for Dan. I would have love to see him guard Jason Richardson. I think Dan can take Bullard's and Walt William's minutes at the 3 spot. Which would mean 15 minutes a game. ------------------

You should go back and look at Dan's college days. He was a big time scorer. Buckets. Dan has earned a significantly increased role on this time and Rudy T would be well advised to give him the time. The only difference with him and Mobley is that Mobes got the playing time because Rudy did not have a choice. With Dan he had a choice and messed up the boy's (Dan) confidence. What did Dan do? He went out and gained weight and is taking no prisoners. I have not doubt that he will perform and hold his own on defense too. ------------------
At the end of the day, Langhi will be a better player than either Anderson or Langhi. He just needs playing time with first line players vs. garbage time. He can shoot the lights out, has incredible hops, is tough, knows how to drive, and is a smart player. He'll play some 2 and 3 for us depending on situations and matchups. At Vandy he started slowly his first two years and then exploded as a senior to earn player of the year in the SEC. Don't know if he'll start at beginning of season but it wouldn't surprise me if he takes over as starter ahead of Anderson or whoever is in that slot. This is a very talented and driven kid.

The only thing Langhi lacked was playing time. For those of you who say he is playing against scrubs, consider that Griffin is not exactly lighting it up against these same scrubs. Langhi can play...and play well....all he needs is time on the court with Francis and Mobley and the other Starters. My prediction is that Dan is either the Starter or the 6th man this year. For all of you saying that "he did the same thing last year at the RMR"......If I remember correctly(which I do) he did NOT do this at the RMR last year....he played well but not this well!! I think he maybe had one game over 20...if that....and then he was playing with a good pg in moochie instead of Colson!! I am not saying that he is going to come in this year and be a 20 pt. scorer...that is silly...but I do think he will be much better this year.....much better. ------------------

Dan was a lot weedier last year at the RMR too. He's got 10 boards in a game already, the most he got at the RMR last year was 5. ------------------

If I remember correctly,Dan's highest scoring totals last year at the RMR were 14 and 16,in the last two games I think.This year in the first two:23 and 27 plus rebounds which as it has been said is much more than last year.If you ask about the competition,last year I dont remember who they were,pretty sure they were no-names or close to it.This year:Lamar Odom!!! Don't get me wrong, I hope the guy becomes a force to be dealt with, but there are a thousand other Dan Langhi's that had very good college careers only to be nobody's in the NBA. Don't you think if Langhi was ready for the NBA game Rudy would have played him more? Obviously he wasn't because he didn't see much court time last year and he still hasn't earned anything. If he can come in and make an impact in the first 20 games of the season and see more than 10-12 minutes per game, I'll be impressed with his progress. ------------------ Anger is a weed.
