Total! Kt and Moe Together If between the Two of them we could get 20 ~ 25 pts total 10 ~ 15 Rebounds 3 ~ 5 Asst 1 ~ 3 Steals no more than say 3 Turnovers I guess I would be ok But I would Dream More like this What would we like out of our PFs [total] 25 ~ 35 pts total 15 ~ 20 Rebounds 5 ~ 7 Asst 3 ~ 5 Steals Rocket River ------------------
We'd have a REAL NBA PF, or Webber. ------------------ "We make a lot, but we spend a lot." Patrick Ewing, alumnus, Georgetown University
LIVe My thoughts Exactly If we can get those kind of numbers and some credible decent Defense out of these two we could do battle at the 4 spot becuase hopefully they would be fresher than Norm I mean Our starter would be a little below their starter but hopefully our Sub is better than their sub and balance it out Rocket River ------------------
Rocket River - great thread idea. The lack of responses is surprising. I limited my comparisons to WC Playoff contenders. Here's my take. *** POINTS > I didn't check all the combinations, but Webber and Funderburke have to be near the top. They combine for 31.1 ppg. Peja is 2nd and is about equal to Steve. SAC's #3 is JDubb @11.5ppg and that's 6 less than Cat. My conclusion is that 25.1 ppg out of the PF (31.1-6) would win alot of games for the Rockets. *** REBOUNDS > This is a little tougher. I'm gonna break it down further. First Offensive boards. The Lakers are the top rebounding WC Playoff team with Shaq and Ho Grant @ 7.2 ORPG. Duncan & Rose combine for 5.6 while Dale Davis & Sheed get 5 even. Webber & Funderburke get 3.3. I think 4.0 is reasonable for ORPG. Next Defensive boards. I propose Sheed & Davis as the PF gold standard here. They are averaging a combined 11.8 DRPG. Shaq is the individual leader 8.9. That would be enough. I think 12.9 RPG would get the job done. *** Assists > Malone & Manning are 5.6 APG while CWebb & Funderburke 3.9. Duncan is regarded as a good passing big man. He and Rose are at 3.6. I'll take 3.8 any game. *** STEALS > PHX, SAC, and POR lead the WC. Robinson & Marion are at 3.0, Webber & Peja at 2.63 and Wallace and Stoudamire get 2.52 SPG. I think 2.2 is passable. *** TURNOVERS > How about Nowitski and Vaught at 2.9. *** CONCLUSION As of the Vancouver game Mo and KT were: PPG > short 7.8 PPG REBS > short 2.0 O + 6.3 D = 8.3 REBS ASSISTS > short 1.5 APG STEALS > short 1.34 TO's > 0.9 too high IMHO, all of these are within reach of KT & Mo combined. ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited December 12, 2000).]
Thanks Gater I think this is a more positive way to think of it. As I stated tonite Either Mo or KT will show up on any given night as long as they not both horrible on the same night we are ok. Rocket River ------------------
Tonight: PPG > 25.1 / KT 7 + MO 1 = 8 / Short 16.9 REB > 4.0O +8.9D=12.9 /O=5KT+2MO + D=7KT+2MO / O=3 over D=0.1 over = Total 3.1 Over AST > 3.9 / KT 0 + MO 0 = 0 / Short 3.9 ST > 2.2 / KT 0 + MO 0 = 0 / Short 2.2 BS > ? / KT 1 + MO 1 = 2 / ? btw bottom line = W ------------------ Heath [This message has been edited by Heath2000 (edited December 12, 2000).]
bottom Line Win!! Exactly I think from here out I'm just gonna look at position stats than individuals. How did our PFs do on Defense? Rocket River ------------------
