The Rockets are not likely to buy him out cause he would still be on the payroll, and everything that I'm hearing these last few days, seems to indicate the Rockets expect nothing and are not willing to wait, so now what? Which team, if any could we trade Francis to, and for what? I don't think the Rockets want to take in any players so I would think a pick or trade exception, but who would want him?
I still have faith in Stevie Franchise.whether he could make the team or not,I really don't wanna see him on other teams' roster if possible. he's rehabbing and will eventually pull it through. I believe.
I have lost faith............hes not going to help us period!..........i hope im wrong but im not!................
only people in the first or second year can go to the NBDL.. francis can't go nor would he want to go.
Francis believes he is ahead of schedule in terms of recovery. I am hoping that when he is fully recovered he will be atleast 85% of his old self. This head cold is preventing us and the coaches assessing whether he still has it or not. When he (SF) starts getting involved with full practice he will compete with Brooks, cause I think Rafer (as poor a shooter as he is) has the starting role locked up.
theyll probably just let stevie stick around until the end of his contract. if he doesnt get back to form, we probably wont resign him. so he has the entire year to make it back. i dont think we'd trade him anytime during the season. i was thinking, if he was able to play in the preseason and was pretty ok at point, we would probably sign wafer (for scoring) and cut dj. but since stevie never got to show his wares, we might stick with dj (big defensive pg) and cut wafer. good luck steve! we want you back on the floor!
I agree. He can still be productive. It would be nice to have a veteran point guard off the bench, especially during the playoffs.
wow, giving up Francis a little too fast arent you guys, we havent even seen him play yet, I will always believe in Steve Francis. I drafted him first on my fantsay team this year!
There's not much to do. Rockets are not going to waive him. Let him get healthy and let's see how much he can contribute. If all fails, his contract expires this year anyways. He gets paid a little more than Luther so one way to trade his contract is for trade exemption. We may have to give up future picks or an asset if we really want to trade him though.
Please do not lay down on the sideline on the first game this year. That's all I ask Francis for, if he makes the team.
wth is that supposed to mean? I hate idiots that try to discredit Francis' contribution to the Rockets. Ill tell you one thing, he did far more than any point guard that has played for the Rockets since him.
What we do with Francis is make 3 threads a day about him until he actually does something constructive in basketball. Then we up it to 9 threads when he finally does.
