They both are becoming more unpopular, according to CNBC Lebrons Q score has taken a significant hit. His positive Q score is down 41% and his negative Q score is up 77%. People don't like his move to Miami other than fans in Florida and they did not like "The Decision" show and how he announced he was not returning to Cleveland. Count me as one of those who look at Lebron unfavorably on his move to Miami, I would have preferred he re-signed with the Cavs and said something like Ohio is my home and it's on me to bring a championship to Cleveland rather than take the easy way out. http://www.cnbc.com/id/39170785/
i think it's VERY easy for him to change these scores. i dont' think it's as bad as kobe's rape allegations or tiger woods' cheating incident. kobe has recovered from that way before he won his first championship by scoring 35 poitns per game. it's the offseason and people haven't seen lebron play so the only thing they can talk about was his "decision." when he plays again and dominates like usual, people will forget pretty easily (well people outside of cleveland of course).
What the heck do Obama have to do with anything.<p>Anyway, I never cared about Lebron either way (good or bad), but now I dislike him because of "The Decision". I really didn't care that he went to Miami to join his buddies, but the way he went about it was wrong.
Kobe's rape allegation was just a factor. His feud with Shaq and Phil's book also helped. However, he wanted to be the man and he proved he could be the man and of course he's gonna recover from that. LeBron may recover his loser image a bit by winning with his superfriends, but his status as a potential GOAT contender is forever lost.
This is the point. Nobody else other James is so close to MJ. But he gave up. Kobe worked so hard to be like Mike. But he'll be only the Faker Mike. It's true that MJ couldn't win without pippen/rodman etc, but MJ was dominant in all playoff series. Kobe got much more helped and only cruised to playoff MVP because his rival were much weaker and he's not dominant any series and often missed on court.
lebron is the 6th most hated athlete. here are the 5 above him 1) michael vick (still?) 2) tiger woods (thought he'd be #1) 3) terrell owens (blame ESPN) 4) chad ochocinco (really? love the guy's antics) 5) kobe bryant (still?) haters gonna hate.
The difference between Lebron and Obama is with a good season, just like Kobe did, Lebron can change his approval rating. Obama.........on the other hand..........he's the political lovechild of Jimmy Carter and Bernie Sanders. No way to reverse those approval ratings.
- They're both black. - They both like basketball. - They're both KENYAN MUSLIM SOCIALISTS DESTROYING AMERICA.
Initially I was upset with him leaving Ohio. Now, I have no problem with him going and joining the Heat...he was after all a FREE(free to sign with any team he chooses) agent. I do, however, feel that the way he went about free agency was all wrong. And don't even get me started on "The Decision". That dude messed that up BAD.
- doesn't want to lead or is incapable of doing so - boring to listen to - annoying to watch overcelebrating non-events how many of these do you want because I can keep going.
Regardless of whom it is about, be they Republican, Independent, Democrat, etc., can't we keep politics out of the basketball forum?
The LeBron backlash is overblown, it isn't like he raped an unwilling drunk girl in the bathroom of a club. He didn't drown and electrocute dogs. I refuse to damn him for joining up with Wade and Bosh, it's his choice and they wanted to do something cool and rarely seen in pro sports. Good for them. The ESPN special was a horrendous decision, and the way he blew off Cleveland so coldly was even worse. A lot of this is fans thinking they have some sort of twisted ownership of the athletes they follow. I fully get folks in Ohio burning his jersey. They're entitled to be pissed and feel betrayed. The rest of the nation needs to get over it.
It just seems like James couldn't handle the pressure of being in MJ's category. Lebron has the skills, talents, etc to be just as good as MJ, but he took the easy way out, something Kobe nor MJ did.
Hmm, 6 black athletes are at the top of the list as the most hated, there has got to be a white athlete that's a f**kup.
