team the hawks: Well, it's clear that he was going for the small ball strategy and with Nash AND Calderon (this is pretty sick), he was off to a good start. Kevin Martin, Okur and Ford were soild picks, but Josh Smith? Bynum? Those were high picks that made less sense. Al Harrington and Rashard Lewis, or even Dirk (a stretch) would have been nice. Illgauskas would function nicely at center. He also needed some extra 3s, preferably Mike Miller or J-Rich, Raja Bell or Barbosa works too. His later picks sort of didn't make much sense. the OP's team: Your strategy wasn't really clear. You seemed to have been going for smallball, but without a soild PG you don't have a solid grip on ASTs, which are crucial. LBJ certainly helps in that category, and JJ is good too, but you don't match up quite well with say, team hawks. btw, by going for LBJ, u knew u were going to give up on TOs and you'd have a big disadvantage on FTs right? You could get somebody like Corey Maggette or big Z to help offset that deficit. Bogut would not be a good pick here. Your current team would simply flop in the TOs, FG% REB and BLK cats, and you don't have much of an advantage on STLs or FT% either. ASTs, good but needs improvement, 3s, need some building to do, you're great in PTs, but that's pretty much it. btw, Nocioni's a horrible pick unless you got him well into the 100s. Garcia's more than solid. Landry's interesting, but provides little more than some hometown spirit. FG% is the only good cat he has, but he takes few shots anyway.
Yep, but i'm just talking about strategy here. he would be good if you give up on points, u know, the marion+smith+kiri+d-howard things? or bigball to build on his good FG% and blks, but he's not really smallball material.
