    well, it all started with the Jewish Revolution of 1903.

    back then there were two sides of the family.

    many Jews, had one side of the family over on Christmas Eve and the other on Christmas Day.

    Christmas Day was tough for gifts for my folks because we always had to go to my grandparent's house either very late on Christmas Eve or very early Christmas Day. There were always a LOT of people there and it was difficult for us to have a family Christmas with just our gifts so we exchanged on Christmas Eve.

    I've always liked it myself.

    As for my kids, it is embarrising, since both my parents and my wife's parents are divorced and remarried they get 4 sets of presents on top of what we give them and Santa gives them.

    They made out like bandits.

    What a great day today has been. So nice to be in the USA for a christmas. Only like my 4th one of my lifetime. Nice to have more relatives around.

    I got several photography books, some camera accessories (flash diffuser, lens cleaner pen, etc), a couple gift certificates to Best Buy, a box of "slang" flash cards (hilarious), a couple CD's, some nice new flatware, a remote weather station and a pair of really good headphones.
