i know.. i know.. i'm opening up a can of worms... but i am curious of what we could realistically get in a trade for dwight? would it even be possible to trade him? i'm not calling for him to be traded before the deadline but it is something to seriously consider in the off-season if we happen to flame out in the playoffs again.
Too old for a young team to build around, and too expensive for a contender to simply take on. Add in the fact that Dwight can be too demanding on offensive when he's prone to turning the ball over... I can only realistically see the Cavs somehow trading anyone but LeBron for him. But even then, it's a gamble since Dwight's injured and Kevin Love isn't going to be a game changer for Houston and Kyrie is as much of a ballhog no-show on defense.
You never trade stars for pieces just ask okc about if they want harden back. Dollars for quarters is the worst strategy when building an nba team.
Exactly... If we did put Dwight on the trade market, I would imagine that we would get one or two decent players, one or two young 'prospect' players, and a draft pick or two. Maybe a good strategy if we were going to try to rebuild our team. Not a good strategy if we want to compete, which is what we should be doing
Yes, except Howard isn't Harden. If its for the right quarters, i'd trade Howard in a heartbeat. Howard will be going downhill quick.
IF we're lucky, and play our cards right, probably this guy... Spoiler Spoiler ....... ....... .......
