I say if Tito will not make the roster trade him. There r alot of teams in the league who want a PG that has the passing-before-shooting mentality. I say we should ship him to Portland (They r not happy with Damon) in exchange for Ruben Boumtche-Boumtche. I saw Ruben on TV in yesterday's summer league game, and he was great. Domminating shot blocker (4th in GEORGETOWN history, behind Pat Ewing, Zo, and Deke). What do u think?
As of right now we have very little leverage in trading Tito. He hasn't proved himself yet and he was a mid second round draft pick. There's not much you can get with one of those.
Tito was the 38th pick in 2002 and Boumtje was the 50th pick in 2001, a much weaker draft. My hunch is too keep Tito, though-- too early to give up on him.
I proposed a few trades that would allow the Rockets to get Boom Boom. He reminds me of a taller Ben Wallace. But, Tito is not a player that teams will trade for. Teams could pick up players like him once they are released.
I think we might be able to get a quarter pound cheeseburger meal from Mickey D's......... I'd be pushing it to say we could get it SUPERSIZED?!?!?!
If we trade Tito Maddox, he will probably be a throw in. Hopefully, we can ship him off with Rice or Taylor somewhere else - but highly unlikely.
LOL ! We couldn't get anyone for him. Maybe a future second round pick, but that's about it. Especially because he didn't play too well in the summer league.
I don't think Portland would do that trade. Plus, like Smoothie said, no more than a future second-rounder, we might as well keep him.
