I just put in my order for Phish at the Gorge (George, WA) in July. I'll also be heading to moe.down which I doubt if most of y'all have heard of. It is a 3 day camping/music festival in the Adirondack Mountains (New York) featuring moe. and a bunch of other bands yet to be determined. I will plan on seeing Radiohead as soon as they announce a US tour of some kind as well! What about you guys? What concerts are y'all planning on this summer?
1. Dave Matthews Band 7/16 -- I'll make my pilgrimage..already have my tickets 2. John Mayer/Counting Crows 7/25 -- two of my favorite acts...will be getting my tickets soon! woo hoo!!!!!

outside of my brother-in-law, who is in the music business, you go to more concerts than anyone i've ever known! i say that with deep envy.
RM, Is that Jack Johnson, the Texas musician? I heard like a 15sec clip of his music, and thought it was awesome. Been meaning to follow up and look him up. Any suggestions on an album to try?
RADIOHEAD & BEASTIE BOYS TO HEADLINE FIELD DAY TWO-DAY MUSIC, ARTS & CAMPING FESTIVAL June 7 and 8, 2003 Calverton, New York, on the North Fork of Long Island Field Day, a two-day music, arts and camping festival, will take place Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th at the Enterprise Park at Calverton, 70 miles east of New York City, and 9 miles west of Riverhead, in Calverton, New York, on Long Island's North Fork. Radiohead and Beastie Boys will headline June 7th and 8th, respectively. "The idea behind Field Day was to create a world-class music, arts and camping festival on the East Coast of the United States," states Dreskin. In addition, Dreskin goes on to say, "Field Day is the product of our desire to present a different kind of festival, one that melds music, contemporary art and freedom of expression. In some ways, Field Day is a sociological experiment. We hope ticket buyers use Field Day as a platform for self-expression. They can register to create art installations, and group camps with their friends. I bet we see some pretty interesting costumes out there." A portion of the proceeds from Field Day will be benefit various charities. http://www.fielddayfest.com HAIL TO THE THIEF 06.10.03 http://www.radiohead.com http://www.lizphair.com http://www.beastieboys.com http://www.themusicuk.com ------------------------------------------------------------ not to mention Beck, this is where i will be!
I am jealous! I can't afford to hit up this show but that is a hot lineup!! Madmax, my cousin might give RM95 a run for his money. He goes to at least 4 concerts a week in San Francisco.. Its just insane! This weekend, I'll be hitting up Psychedelic Breakfast in Portland, OR. They are a really cool band from Connecticutt, trying to make it..
Chili Peppers w/ Snoop DMB Lollapalooza Foo Rober Earl Keen Gipsy Kings Foo D. Gray Dylan Neil Young Radiohead if they come Counting Crows - but only after John Mayer leaves the stage. That guy is so freaking lame. Also, I'd go to Metallica but I dont want to out any $ in Fred Durst's or his crap ass band's puckets... Also, why does Ozzfest never stop in Houston?
TF, Who is the frontman for Skid Row now? I think Bach will be fronting a band currently called the Project. If you know who is in this band, you'll be excited.
Counting Crows / John Mayer in San Antonio and Houston. I've been a huge Crows fan for a while, and I'm not too familiar with Mayer's stuff, though I've heard mostly good things about his live shows. I wish it wasn't a co-headlining tour, but I can't complain too much about it. I've seen CC 7 times already, so maybe I've gotten my share. Houston presale tickets went on sale this Monday if you go through the Counting Crows website. Otherwise, gen. public tix go on sale on May 18, I want to say. Check the website at: www.countingcrows.com Anyway, I bought two pairs of two tickets. I MIGHT be trying to get rid of one of those pair, so if anyone is interested, let me know. junglerules@hotmail.com
Some dude named Johnny Solinger. He's a screamer, but he's no Baz. I know all about the Project. Is Izzy supposed to be in the band? I'm not too confident in the songs unless he is. I heard a rumor that Scott Weiland wanted to tryout as well. Did you hear that the Offspring have gone to court and stolen the name "Chinese Democracy" for their new album? What the hell is the holdup with that album anyway?
Yes, Izzy is part of song writing process!!! He won't be touring cuz he's weird like that. (One of the reasons he left in the first place) Yea, Offspring are a bunch of dicks. But, hey hopefully it'll speed up the release date. I dunno why it's taking so long TF. I know Axl is a perfectionist, and so many musicians has come and gone, with their parts being re-recorded every time a new one comes in. I've heard that there's a final piece to the trilogy called "This I Love," recorded by the original members of GNR. I've heard about 4 or 5 songs from CD and they are really good.
