Well first of all, if you do any research about Kenyon Martin whatsoever, you will learn that although he acknowledges being fully African American, he prefers to be recognized as Half Black Half Hood.

Second.... if the scenario were plausible, it would be what another team would give up for the injury plagued star, and I don't think anyone would give up anything we'd want.

Which would be enough for me. Actually, if we got marc gasol,their 1st this year and a 1st in 2 yrs, that would be good to me. Gasol re-signs for about 10m per and the pcks can help stockpile talent which could lead to another trade.

I'm sorry how do you refer to black people do you always say African America? Because if you do that is beyond stupid. And fact is obv Carl said it to be funny, but even if he didn't which white player (sorry Caucasian American) would be worth trading Yao for? Dirk MAYBE, that is about it.


Also for purpose of this trade, honestly I believe any nonSUPERDUPERSTAR (aka Lebron, Kobe, Wade, maybe Melo) would be fair game. Fact is owners know Yao is a cash cow and almost all of them would give up anything to get him and to get a piece of Yao's cash cowing at the cost of victories.

I dont care about that. If we were talking about the 2nd best center in the 80's or 90's then thats one thing, but when we're talking about the 2nd best center in an era where the 2 best are nowhere close to superstar status, who cares. I would rather have a shot blocker/rebounder who can get better and the draft picks vs what we will get out of the 17m,25min per game,injury waiting to happen.

 

Yao's expiring contract can be traded. Yao the player can't.
17M might yield us someone useful. It won't be a star.
