I've been looking for a fast alternative for internet explorer, anyone else have any "fast and reliable" browsers that work.

Right now I'm using Avant Browser.

If you want "fast and reliable" without the crap (pop up, shockwave, useless plug ins, etc...), I recommend Opera Browser .

It's too spartan, so I switched back to the evil IE 6.0...

I've been using Crazy Browser. I think it was rockHEAD who posted about it. No pop ups and I like the way it handles new windows.

I use IE, Mozilla, Crazybrowser and Netscape... each one is unique. I have different browsers on different machines.

When you guys say "no pop ups" that kinda scary. What if it's a "pop up" that's part of a website that you want to visit? Or do they filter based on URL? I'd hate to go to a mutual fund website, enter a transaction, and not have a confirmation pop-up appear because the browser doesn't allow it.

I use IE6... because Microsoft rocks (and so has their stock recently... woo hoo)!!

I use Mozilla, and Mozilla mail. I refuse to help the virus "industry" propogate through IE and Outlook. And I wish everyone on the planet who has my email address in Outlook would take it out.

BECAUSE VIRUSES ARE SUCKING MY ADDRESS FROM YOUR DAMN ADDRESS BOOK, and selling it to spammers.

    DoD,

It is smarter than that. They filter based on javascript commands, and how many seconds did it take after the execution of a page load. Not all Window Open commands are blocked. Your scenario is not blocked. They attempt to block any popup window that was obviously part of an OnLoad. Of course, you can always turn off that feature.
