Am I dreamin or does it seem like the TimberWolves are playing better than the Lakers.

Will Wolves be the ones to de-throne the Lakers?

It's WAAAY to early to say stuff like that, but I will say they do look like a very good team right now. You can start talking about them dethroning the Lakers when they make it to the second round of the playoffs. As most die hard Rockets fans know, the regular season doesn't mean squat as long as you make the playoffs. (I'm sure Seattle baseball fans can tell you how much the regular season means.)

That said, I will give credit where credit is due. They have won very convincingly in most of their games except against the Rockets. They just barely got by a poor shooting Rockets team. (I'd like to think it was so close cause the Rockets are a good team.) They trashed the Bucks, who I think could win the lEastern conf. Other than that, they have just crushed weak teams. 76ers were Iversonless, Griz suck, Knicks aren't much to talk about, and the Bulls are pathetic. The T'wolves are winning the games they should be winning, and I'm sure the Bucks win doesn't prove they are ready to dethrone the Lakers.

Looking at the Wolves schedule, they could be 14-0 when they face the Lakers. The only teams that might beat the wolves this month IMO are the Spurs and Magic, but each are working on chemistry issues. (Miller/Hill/McGrady have hardly played together, and Rockets fans should know how hard it can be for a rookie point guard, so Tony Parker and the Spurs will have a tougher first month than they should.)

The T-Wolves will have a similar season to the Mariners (MLB)..THey'll put up some nice win totals in the regular season but some playoff time, there is NO way they will get past the second round and that is if they can even by the 1st round..Woods will never be anything special. He is a poor man's Marcus Camby (who incidently is overrated)...Dethrone the Lakers? I suppose Peeler will neutralize Kobe and Woods will neturalize shaq?

Don't laugh, I too predicted the T-wolves to be the second seed team in the West...many questioned this foresight, but I'm starting to see more analysis of the potential success for this team this season.

Can't fault them, they're perfect through 6 with their easy early schedule. The middle of the season will make or break them. The 53 point drubbing of the Bulls was a fluke, the Bulls gave up half way through the second quarter. It only should have been a 25 point loss. :)

The next question is: Are they peaking now?
