I was watching the "Magic Bullet" informerical lastnight and I was amazed, then it made me wonder: What is some of the crap you have bought after watching those darn infomericals? I'll start:

The Banjo-Minnow: Didn't catch a single thing w/ this, literally.

I bought the PureSpin Lob Wedge with the diamond dust on the face. I love that club. There's no diamond on the face any more though. I don't know if it even helped.

I have the George Foreman grill. I use it all of the time.

I remember the banjo minnow commercials. How could it fail with that life-like movement? :p

Haha, that's exactly what I thought. I had better luck hooking a piece of hot dog to the end of the line.

I have one of those rubber broom squueegie things and it works well on some stuff. It gets dog hair off the rugs really well.

My wife bought one of those magic thaw things that was crap.

Both were bought at walgreens not off the tv.

Prolong - I never ran around the streets of San Fran with the oil plug missing to see if it really worked.

When I was in college, I had a few too many drinks one night and ordered some memory excersise package that I saw on TV at 3am. In my incoherent state of mind, I thought it would help me pass Music History. I got it in the mail a week later and tried it. It helped me memorize lists of names, but had nothing to do with Music History.

Dam, I always wondered if the banjo minnow really worked....

    Let's see:

    Foreman Grill
Math-E-Magics (learn to do math in your head)
    Ronco Electric Food Dehydrator
Some kind of memory tapes, don't remember what they're called
Swivel Sweep (actually got it from Target, if you have tile or hardwood floors, I HIGHLY reccomend this)

I'm sure I left a few off. I know I've seen tons of stuff I wanted to order, but never did. Things like the Magic Bullet, that rubber broom (smart sweep?), and oxy clean.

I bought that special car wash paint thing that was supposed to give my tired old car a showroom finish for $19.95.

I sold the car before it arrived, so i don't know if it works.

And I've bought the oxy clean (it works) the magic silver cleaner (it works) and the rubber broom thing (sort of works for pine needles but not much else) and the super shammies (they work OK -- once), and that knife that cuts though tomatoes hammers and tin cans (you never know when you'll need to do that, now do you). All these at demo's -- not from the tv.

    Classic.

My wife was griping about scrubbing the tub and how much a pain it was - one day I got some oxy clean. sprayed it on, waited a few minutes. wiped down the tub with a sponge. totally clean. stuff works. the best part is she figured i scrubbed the tub for hours to get it that clean!

Well I never actually bought the Oxy Clean, it was just one of those things I saw numerous times and really wanted to buy. I don't think anything can top a good professional cleaning. Dirt Free Carpet (the one they talk about on 610), from what I've heard, works wonders.
