It's a get-away-Thursday and I'm already out of work at my job, so...

What are your favorite 80's teen flicks?

    Here's mine:

    5. Breakfast Club (cheesy I know, but a carbon copy of my high school)
    4. Weird Science (love Chet, the big brother)
    3. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (listening to The Cars Moving In Stereo will never be the same...)
    2. Sixteen Candles (Farmer Ted)

    1. Better Off Dead (TWO DOLLARS!!)

I know I'm forgetting some good ones.

You forgot Say Anything (guess it's more of a chic flick) and Ferris Buellers Day Off.

"It's a damn shame people'd throw away a perfectly good whiteboy like that."

    Where's Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

FYI, Chet, the big brother in Weird Science was none other than Bill Paxton.

Damn there are so many of them!!

    In no particular order:

    Better off Dead
    Back to The Future
    Sixteen Candles
    Revenge of the Nerds
    Real Genius
    Animal House
    The Breakfast Club
    Teen Wolf
    Weird Science
    Meatballs
    Ferris Beuler's Day Off
    Fast Times at Ridgemont High

    I could go on......

Animal House was neither "teen" nor "80's" (1978)

Mine would be any 5 of these:

    Weird Science
    Ferris Beuler's Day Off
    Back to The Future
    Sixteen Candles
    Revenge of the Nerds
    Real Genius

But #1 would have to be Fast Times at Ridgemont High!

Amen. To take it even further, Otter and Bluto deserve their own threads.

    "Do you take drugs Danny?"
    "Everyday."

If Animal House does not count as "teen" then this definitely doesn't. Not only was it not really about teens, but most teens could not watch it in the theaters.

"Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

Oh, it looks good on you though."

    Funniest. Movie. Ever.
