Personally, I'm not going to the game. I don't have tickets. Instead, I'm debating between watching this game (OU vs. TX for those of you that just landed on planet Earth) at home alone or at a nearby bar at the Arboretum. I think I'm leaning towards watching at home so that I can pay better attention to the action and analyze the game on my own. Its tough to do that in a rowdy bar filled with drunken fans. Of course, its much more fun to bash Sooner fans when they're actually around, rather than talking smack at Lee Corso! What are your plans? How many actually attending the game? For those of you not into football (shudder at the thought!), what are your plans for this Saturday? Shopping for dinnerwear? Mowing the lawn? Taking the kids out of the house? Let's hear it folks!
If I stay in Austin, I'll probably be watching the game up at Legends with some friends if you want to join us. I don't know I'm staying here yet though.
I'll be up in Dallas, not at the game, but making the journey to support my Horns. Hopefully, I'll find a cool place to hangout during the game - being completely sober mind you Also, any suggestions on where I could find a place to stay? -Turbo
Got good seats this year: Section 22, row 12 ~ 35 yard line. That's 12 rows from the Stoops bros. Maybe being a 5th yr. senior isn't so bad after all....
What are your plans for Oct. 12? Celebrating my heritage with a little antipasto, lasagna, some sausage bread and a Peroni to wash it down.
Can grad students get tickets? Just wondering cause i want to go to UT law school, like my boy haven.
All students, as well as faculty can get tix. Seniors have 1st priority, then grads, juniors, soph, and frosh. Good luck getting in. Due to the current economic downturn, UT Law has seen a record-breaking number of applicants. If you're smart and make a good LSAT score, there's no reason why you can't get in. I have been told that they give preferential treatment to engineering and natural sciences.
Well, I'm only a freshman in college. So I've got some time. But yeah. I really want to go to UT Law. What stuff does the LSAT test? Is it like the SAT?
I will be going to the game. Somehow, my group of five seniors was blessed with seats on the 50 yard line, 4th row. And no that's not a typo (well actually it might be the 45, we're in the section from yd lines 45-50 but not sure which way the seat numbers go). I actually thought the other people in my group were just kidding me when they told me, and then I got my tickets and it turned out to be true. I tried so hard to go to the game the last two years and now I finally do and I'm sitting 4th row, 50 yard line. And I know people on the 50 yard line, 3rd row. We're all chem. eng. seniors so maybe the season ticket people really like us chemical engineers or something. We saw the seats right next to us on ebay, and we were thinking of laughing at those people for how much they spent, but we decided all us UT fans need to be united and we shouldn't waste valuable OU-hating energy teasing other Horns fans. Now if we can just figure out a way to beat OU and not get sunburned like at the OSU game, the 12th will be one awesome day.
