    Franchise

    Pros
I love the guy's pull up jumper after a few crossovers to ease up the defender. His crossover is the best in the NBA. He can choose to light it up and is just a situational scorer. His explosiveness is also only paralleled by Air Canada. He's got above average passing.

    Cons
Above listed, I said he was a good passer. It's only his lack of cutting teamates that make his job harder. He's also not very trusting with his teamates when it comes to passing it off (he doesn't have good shooting teamates outside of Yao and Cat and sometimes Mo)

    Cat

    Pros
Lightning quick slasher with an equally quick release. Can get by anybody and get a shot off at anytime. Nice athleticism and Good shot. Took less money to stay also.

    Cons
Not a very trusting person either. He trusts Franchise with the ball and thats about it.

    Yao

    Pros
Incredible court awareness. Great shooter. Crafty offensive player with his shanghai shake ( we gotta rename this move) and his fade away. Nice atheleticism for his size. And great passer

    Cons
Gets stripped way too often. Needs to start using those tree trunks to back down. Needs to stop taking those fadeaways and use the hook

    Cato

    Pros
Incredibly athletic big man with even longer arms to swat the balls out of the paint. Good size and very capable back up center

    Cons
His paycheck and sporadic play (good continutiy last year, but lets see him keep it up for another year before we say he's completely improved). Absolutely no shot whatsoever. Bad Tipper

    Mo

    Pros
Nice shot up to 20 ft. Can take his man to the hole. Very trustworthy hook shot. Can be a banger at times.

    Cons
No Defense, and no rebouding. Nice fat paycheck coming to him every year for a while too. Bad Tipper

    E. Griffin

    Pros
Potentially incredible. Incredible Blocker. Range out to 3pt line. Shot needs a little work. Young and fairly agile. Good athelticism
Need to get him some more low post shots, cuz it might do wonders for his confidence

    Cons
Needs to not get pushed around. Maybe he needs to add more muscle or just try harder. Needs to work on his shot. Needs to utilize some post up moves. Seems lost on the court at times(maybe coaching issues)

    Moochie

    Pros
    *crickets chirping*
hit some big shots for us a while back and works well with yao and his cutting. He's pretty funny at times

    Cons
Paycheck, Fat, Lazy, Disassociation with time in 24 second blocks

    Hawkins

    Pros
Great Defense and will knock down the open jumper

    Cons
    Nothing really.

    Snackbar

    Pros
I don't know. Never seen the guy play. Didn't we just draft him this year as our 1st round pick? hmmmm

    Cons
Not a great shooter from the summer season play. (hopefully its just nervousness)

    Rice-a-Roni

    Pros
Lights out 3pt shooter when he's on. Can post up smaller players. Championship expierence

    Cons
    Slow as molasses.

First off, let me say that was an excellent post pradaxpimp. You covered all the players perfectly as far as their weaknesses and, more importantly, their strengths go.

But the one I quoted is the most significant to me. I agree completely about Yao and his hook shot. The guy can almost touch the rim without jumping, yet he always shoots his turnaround fadeaway. If Yao would use his hook shot more often, NOBODY in the league could stop him on offense. A sweeping hook for Yao would be especially unstoppable.

    Francis

Pros- I love his explosive athleticism, and ability to take it down the lane and dunk it on his defender.

Cons- He is a point guard, but isn't quite the same passer as Kidd or Payton.

    Cat

Pros-I love his crazy antics and energy on the court, and he is becoming a pretty good defender.

Cons- He shoots too damn much, Once he makes it up in his mind that he wants to shoot it, he will hold the ball the whole shot clock without passing once.

    Yao

Pros- He's 7-5, Great moves down low, and a great passer

Cons- He's soft and gets pushed around, He doesn't rebound like a 7-5 guy should.

Though I mostly agree in principle, I must say that Yao's hook is still developing, and at this point his TAJ is far more effective and reliable, and obviously has greater range. Hopefully the TAJ is just a stopgap, and he'll turn the jump hook, or perhaps even a sky hook into his go-to move.

great scorer, great athlete, weak basketball IQ. great rebounder, decent defender, below average passer and dribbler. great off the dribble, average otherwise. a solid player who can improve his game and be part of a Champ.

    Yao

a legitimate franchise player who can carry a team to a Championship. He is greatly skilled, is superior as a passer, at putting the ball on the floor, at moving. He's a good rebounder and blocker, but should be better at both. He needs strength and more attitude about commanding the paint.

    Mobley

a skilled player for the money, and a decent number 3 option, but the most tradeable commodity the team has. With Adrian Griffin and Pike available for duty at the shooting guard spot, with Francis able to play some shooting guard, and with our need for a quality starting small forward, he is the most likely to go. he is nice off the dribble, but makes bad decisions at key times more than I would like to see. he has many good qualities, but with Adrian and Pike, I think we need to look to move him for a starting small forward.

    Pike

I expect Pike to be the surprise this year. He's a lights out shooter, but he has not gotten the shots or the minutes in recent years. If he gets 27-28 minutes a game and the ball, I expect him to put up 12 points a game, maybe more. He's not a great defender, but he's not lazy, and he's a solid role player.

    Mo Taylor

Mo pulled up lame the last few games of the season. Prior to that, he was doing fairly well for a couple of months. If Mo gets in shape, he can be a good contributor, but his weak defense and rebounding will limit his minutes to the 20-28 range. When Mo is in shape and has his shots all working, he's a beauty to watch on the floor. When he's fat, not so.

    Eddie Griffin

He's a kid, and it was his sophomore year. He improved in several areas. I want to see him play harder, run harder, and put more effort into his game. His rebounding and shot blocking make him worth his salary and 18-28 mpg. He's weak for starting but fine for bench. Got to improve his shooting form, got to be more savvy about when to shoot, and when not to.

    Adrian Griffin

an upscale version of Hawkins, and good for 18-24 Mario Elie minutes a game off the bench. he's great on defense, won't hurt you much on offense, and hustles. my kind of bench guy.

    Cato

a very high quality back up center, and one I want the Rockets to keep. Great rebounder, good body defender, decent shot blocker. What you see is what you get. Not flashy, but solid for 18-26 mpg. I want to see him get a few minutes at PF each game, especially where matchups make such a move smarter than using Eddie or Mo as much.

    Moochie Norris

I want to click his heels and make him go back to the year that got him his contract. He got lost in his role as one of those fuzzy dolls put on their dashboard and forgot his purpose is to play basketball. He dribbles too much, he takes shots he shouldn't take, he's an azz clown. I hate him.

    Boki Nachbar

the jury is still out? yeah, and the jury is still out on Langhi, too. He stays because he's Yao's best buddy and it ain't worth 1.3 mil to risk making Yao unhappy right now.
