A band from Austin called Dream Trybe. Two friends of mine from way back - sort of like Dream Theater meets Tori Amos meets early Heart. They were here a couple weeks back. Fantastic drummer.

Though the 'what's your favorite music' Q has been done over and over here, I never tire of it as there are always great recommendations as a result - plus I enjoy knowing what the rest of you are listening to.

In heavy rotation at my home are.

Gene Clark - No Other... A rather obscure albulm from this X-Byrd that I recently stumbled across. I love it!

Neko Case - The Tigers Have Spoken... An excellent live lp from the awesome Neko Case

Sweet - Desolation Boulevard.... This one is a time capsule that stands up remarkably well and still sends those rock'n good chills up my spine.

Guided By Voices - Half Smiles of the Decomposed... An excellent farewell lp by the brilliant Bob Pollard and GBV.

Louis XIV - local band (for me that is, in San Diego) breaks out big time with some super catchy/trashy rock n roll.

Brian Wilson - Smile.... Well, it finally came out after almost 40 years and almost lives up to the hype. Really, it deserves it's own thread which I think I'll start.
