Figured it was a good time to start this thread. What are you going to do with your tax refund? I'm going to pay off a high-interest credit card, and possibly replace my rear-projection HDTV with a wall-mount plasma. I'm not concerned with apperances, but my 1-year-old son thinks it's fun to beat on our current TV with his cup, and I want to sell it before I have to just throw it away.
It goes into savings, always. It is boring, but I need to save up, to try and get a new house. In addition we are getting a puppy, and that will take some money for its care. Add to that the Vietnam/Thailand trip I wanted to take this summer is off because of some car repair that zapped that fund, so I am going to stockpile a bigger vacation savings, and go next year.
Pay off some debts, of course, and save the rest. People who don't save can't attend Rockets', Texans', or Astros' games.
I'm either thinkin of takin everyone out to wings and beer for the Rockets Game 4 sweep over Miami, but my stripper gf wants me to get a bag of blow. I'm undecided.
Pay some debts to clean up my credit. But I will do something fun with it. Maybe I will buy a wii....or a hooker.
I need to upgrade my home theater system. I'm trying to save up over the next 5-6 months for that, so it'll go towards that fund.
It's our 10 wedding anniversary this July (I can't believe how fast ten years have gone). The wife wants new platinum wedding bands. I wanted a new set of golf clubs. Guess what we'll end up getting?
Pay off my wife's car and enjoy having only 1 car payment...for about a couple of days until she asks for a new car.
