What are the Mavs saying about losing James?

I know there are some ardent Mav-haters here; have you been scanning their sites for a reaction to James going to Minnesota? Were they likewise caught off-guard? Have they turned on James like so many here have?

    Etc.

They just resigned Terry for six years and they have in my opinion, one of the best young point guards for the "new NBA" in Devin Harris. Speculatively, Dallas was trying to grab Mike James as a bargaining chip at a very attractive price. Dallas' dismay and reaction in no way was near the degree and need Houston had in Mike James' decision.

"dammit that dang ol' mike james man, he slipped us by man, talked to Mark Cuban our rich ass GM and said he liked the coach man even though he had a broke ass shot. dang man , dang it all man"

they are returning almost the same team that should of won a title. I dont think they are too worried.

The Mavericks have not given a second thought to Mike James or the Rockets. They are worried about next playoff season. The Rockets are mosquito bite on mark Cuban's back - nothing more-maybe less.

Sad days for Rocket fans-I hate the Mavericks......

I saw a comment from Mark Cuban where MJ's agent basically admitted he went for the money and security. That was the bottom line. I thought the offers were equal in money terms.

I don't know what the Mavs' fans are actually saying, but I know what they should be saying. They have the best of both worlds. They don't have to deal with Mike James's ego, and he's not going to Houston. He would have made absolutely no difference on their roster, except a little depth. Cuban's only reason for chasing him was to keep him out of Houston.

Cuban hates Duffy. It isn't surprising Cuban didn't overpay one of his clients. Besides, there is something wrong with James' brain. The guy is a weirdo so say the least.

I sincerely doubt Mark Cuban cares one way or the other about the Rockets at this point. If he'd been deciding between San Antonio and Dallas, maybe I could see your point.

The general response I saw on the Mavs message board was "*shrug*, at least he didn't sign with the Rockets". Apparently a lot of Mav fans hate Houston too (although not as much as we hate them).

If the Southwest division of the NBA were the Big 12, the Spurs would be Oklahoma (a dominant team that has slipped recently, but is still a force), the Mavs would be Texas (a long solid team that finally got over the hump and stepped up to dominance by beating thier hated rivals), and the Rockets would be Texas Tech or A&M (a pretty good team that thinks they're a big rival to the other two, when in fact the other two teams really only care about each other)

I live up here in Dallas and the real reaction up here on sports radio is pretty similar to whats being said over the GARM.

It's not an, "oh well" or "eh" reaction, James was their #1 FA target as well and from what I'm hearing the Mavs org. is feeling just as jobbed as we do.

I had the misfortune of having to move to Dallas last year (Than heavens for NBA League Pass) and on the radio they were surpised, but not really upset. They wanted him, but are excited about developing their draft pick and Devin harris and getting Croshere a little bit of PT. they were shocked he didn't sign there, but they didn't seem too upset

They blame the refs for handing James to Minny.

How can they say anything when they never had James in the first place? At least James didn't come out and tell the city of Dallas that he wanted to come back and be with his family like how he did with another city.....

Why shouldn't the Mavs be happy, after all they did the job very well, they impounded Mike s Jame's head with sufficient negative thoughts about the Rockets, making him mad and negative towards joining the Rox. Goal acheived!! :p
