I apologize if this has already been posted somewhere. I really think that it would be a great benefit to Yao if he were to receive some personal instruction on positioning, footwork, etc from one of the accomplished centers. Hakeem would be great for this role, as well as possibly Moses Malone. Yao already has a lot of respect for Hakeem, and vice versa. I think that the two could relate as well because both players had to experience cultural adjustments in their transition to the NBA. Hakeem, in my mind would be one of the best teachers of the NBA game to Yao. The Rockets would defiitely be wise to use a resource like Hakeem in a consulting capacity.

    H,

I agree that Dream should be brought in to tutor Ming. Dream is already Ming's favorite player. Dream can tell Ming the things he needs to know. Rudy & Larry are not Top 50! I posted earlier that Pete Newell, Big Man's Camp Instructor, would be helpful with Ming and Rudy knows him well. Natural fit. Rudy won't do it because Dream or Pete would be the smartest guy on the coaching staff. Rudy's ego won't be able to handle it.

Problem with Hakeem is he's still under contract to the Raptors, and probably will remain there until insurance issues are settled.

    David.
