    1. Extending Tari is clearly the priority between the two
    2. I have no idea what the extensions will look like, who are the good comps? Trey Murphy for Tari Eason maybe

....you are asking the wrong question. The question isn't about comps - it's about 'what is the financial and player need market for both?' That's ultimately why Jalen and Sengun had the extensions they did because the market wasn't there to support the "max dollars - $$$$$" that everyone was talking about. I haven't looked but it's entirely possible there is a stronger market for Tari and Jabari than Jalen/Sengun because there may be more teams who actually have money to spend.

Tari can get 15-25 mill per year

Jabari can get less than that.

Trey Murphy played 30 minutes a game for 2 seasons, was a starter, shot 40% from 3 on high volume, averaged 15 ppg etc. He started and played 42 mpg for NOP in a playoff series before his extension.

    Not a comp for Tari.

Remember, rookie extensions are about the tangible minutes/points/production/starts you put on the floor, not so much how good we think the player is. I think Tari is great, but the league sees him as a 6th-7th man energy guy, because to this point that's what he's been.

Unless there's some big change and he becomes a starter playing 30 mpg for us, he'll get a contract in the realm of guys like Isaiah Stewart, Avdija, Okongwu, Kispert, maybe a little more. ~10% of the cap, in the range of $100M/5.

If Josh Hart and Dillon Brooks got 4 years/$80 million, just imagine what Tari is going to get.

    Jabari will get traded.

That sounds good but OG Ananobi got 5 yr 212 mil contract. Is tari that much worse? If he keeps up this play and shoots well he may want to try his luck as RFA and go for a max especially if he gets the starting nod like people on here want him to. If Jabari stays he wouldn’t get the money he wants unless he gets out of this slump.

More like Moses Moody Contract 3 year , $37,500,000.

His Injury and Bone Surgery really hurt his Value in his Health and Playing Time Last Season.

But that's the whole point of the comp? He's not talking player comps for their role or playstyle, he's talking value comps. We can look at players who provide similar value and then see what those contracts look like.

They will both likely be making more than I do annually.

If Jabari makes only incremental progress, then he should be packaged with Cam, expirings and a couple of picks, for a serious upgrade. Houston needs shooting, passing and some defense.

I’ve never in my life heard any executive, coach or media member say they see Tari as a 6th man energy type career.

I’ve heard many people mention him as an elite prospect.

The dude is playing the role the way we’re asking. Don’t confuse that for his identity. You’ve never seen him start for a prolonged period on a semi-decent team.

This is another fake narrative that part of the BBS is creating. Reminds me of when people used to whine as though the Silas culture will take years to fix when it was obviously going to take a few months. Tari will maybe start shaky and adapt after 5, 10, 20 games just like anyone else becoming a full time starter for the first time.

It’s very rare that a very good player can’t figure out how to adapt to being a starter. Don’t be paranoid.

Hilarious if you think Tari’s agent will accept less than $25m per season in this era. He’s exactly like a young OG, he’ll be roughly as good in his prime.

If we wait an extra year to extend him his value will only go up and he’ll get a $35m+ offer in the market as an RFA. We better extend him early, get him cheaper. If you believe you can raise his 3PT shooting by 2% in the next 2 years, it’s a no-brainer to keep him.

Tari is actually undervalued by the rockets fan base. I think he’ll get at least $25 mil per. And let’s stop with the “role player” ceiling projection. By the end of the season fans calling him a role player are gonna look foolish.

If they extend Bari it’s gotta be at Kispert money. I think we have too many young players to develop so I’d rather trade him and recoup some value.

I think Tari is still developing and has potential to be a starting SF or PF in this league, but we shouldn’t put the cart before the horse. People pretend he has no warts. His energy off the bench is valuable to this team and I see no hurry to change that. We also need to make sure he can stay healthy with extended minutes and stay out of foul trouble. It is reasonable for Jabari to continue to be challenged to keep his starting job over Tari and/or Amen. 9 games in is too soon to make the decision on Tari and Jabari. It is in the best interest of the Rockets for Bari to turn it around on offense. He is already a good defensive player and rebounder.

Our future starting five if no blockbuster trades are made will be Amen, Jalen, Tari, Jabari, and Sengun. We don’t have to get there this year. Jalen, Tari, and Jabari need to become consistent 3 pt shooters and I don’t see any reason why that can’t happen. No matter how much evidence is presented, people still can’t believe it takes most guys not named Lebron well into their twenties to approach their peek. SGA is a perfect example, but there are tons more.
