To be critical of myself, the apostrophe in Strengths shouldn't be there. Sorry to all the English teachers, Rimmy and MacB.

You're just asking for it with this kind of comparison. I'm not a Kerry backer at all, but he clearly trumps Bush on every quality here besides charisma and 'leadership,' which is the most ambiguous of the qualities listed and which Bush only wins because the polls say so. On every other quality, asking what anyone thinks of Kerry only points up how little one might think of Bush. Intelligence? Wisdom? Communication? Courage? "Fairness" doesn't exactly work in your favor here.

His lead in the polls is far and away his biggest strength. There is absolutely no denying this. It is the source of his momentum and this in turn fuels his fundraising and exposure. That is what propelled Dean initially and is now propelling Hanoi Kerry.

Was the other poll supposed to be something against Bush...I think this is more of a come together and talk about the man many of you will be voting for.

Jorge's greatest strength is his ability to disappear. It's really something. Like a superpower. Poof.

Anyway, I don't think you should view it as a who is stronger Bush or Kerry at the following...I think thats what your poll was for.

From my poll. ( When did Batman and I become 'we'? I love the guy, but it's strictly platonic.)

MacB, I was speaking of Batman's Bush or Kerry Poll. Sorry I wasn't more clear and lucid and in-a-mint about that.

Cool. As for myself, I checked off all but charisma, honesty, communication, and objectivity.

As I am not doing these things in relation to Bush, wherein he'd beat him in just about every single category, but instead relative to other world leaders/past Presidents, etc., I couldn't rate him as a particularly effective communicator, although I have heard he's better in debates. Charisma is lacking, relatively speaking. Honesty...it takes an exception for a career politician to appear all that honest to me, and whilke I hvae no reason to doubt the man, I have no reason to suppose he is exceptionally honest either. Objectivity is similar. Nothing against, just haven't seen anything for.

John Kerry's best strength is that he is almost the total opposite of Alabama AWOL Bush in all of these attributes. If charisma is having a goofy smile, along with a creepy laugh, then I guess Alabama AWOL is charismatic. One thing John Kerry has that Michael Dukakis didnt is courage, courage to fight back when being attacked. That will make a big difference this year (if he is in fact the nominee).

He has no strengths, except to liberals. He hates the rich. He wants to cut the defense budget. He wants more entitlement spending. He wants to raise taxes. He wants us to be a satrap of the UN. So if you're liberal, he's great.

If you don't know the difference between attributes and policy you shouldn't vote or post in these kinds of threads.
