I think you're too old to go to clubs when you finally realize that paying $20+ cover charge is stupid. You can go to a no cover bar and have more fun and its easier to talk to people there.
I can only recall paying a $20 cover once in my life. New Years Eve on Beale Street in Memphis this past year. Prior to that, I don't think I've ever paid more than $5 for cover. I just prefer a regular bar where I can go sit and chill while sipping on a beverage over dancing and music that's too loud. Not dissing it, just not my thing.
When the girls/guys who are now 18 (and able to enter the clubs) were born the same year you graduated from high school. Actually, that would be the day I know I'm kinda old.
I don't think there's a specific age, just the type of clubs you go to. There are high-scale clubs for older people you can go to. You certainly don't want to go clubbing at a place known to have an underage/college crowd if your old enough to be their parent.
once you hit 32, hang it up and start hitting bars instead. no one wants to see you do the roger rabbit on the dance floor.
You are never too old to go clubbing. There are different clubbing scene for certain age group. Just don't be in your 50s and hanging out in a teens clubs and you'll be fine.
I've seen people in their 50's at drink Houston. I will never go there again. Its weird man. Outside of the club, there's Dave and busters and the movie theater, and you see a lot of white people, and as soon as you get in drink Houston, its like I just entered into Mexico or something.
The OP should have been clear that this post was directed toward women and homosexuals because straight dudes don't go clubbing.
I was in Whistler BC this weekend and we went to a bar, then they wanted to go to another one which turned out to be a dance club....uh.....I high tailed it out of there. Just too young for me.... DD
Ha, that used to be my unofficial cutoff point too. That gives you almost 2 solid decades of clubbing to do. I stopped WAY before that, though. - 28 if I had to put a number on it. Thats when your metabolism starts slowing down, you lose a half step on the basketball court, you're more naturally aware of things and the youthful naivety's about worn off, and its time to start doing bigger things out in the real world. - When you spend frivolously on all kinds of "going out" clothes. Then notice the clothes are kinda "so last week"..no reason to even try to "catch up", you're expired time to hang it up.
