I didn't see this posted so if it was please lock it. But I was just wondering what acquisition over the offseason will have the greatest impact on us this year. The options are hiring adelman, trading to scola, drafting brooks, signing francis, trading for james, and i also decided to add Bonzi coming back since he never played with us. I personally think hiring adelman is the most impactful.

I think either francis or james will. bonzi is gonna be a 14 point player this year. but if james starts, i think he could very well putup 17 points 6 assists a game this season.

The "Firing JVG" option would have killed in this poll.

Easy choice: firing Gundy and hiring Adelman

When you get rid of the biggest joke in Rockets playoff history (most lopsided loss in game 7, worst offensive output in a playoff game, twice in a row lost to an opponent after leading 2-0, etc., etc.), everything else will work out by itself eventually.

I think the fact that James was signed negated the Francis signing a bit since they are rather similar.

Based on results, I think Adelman and VG will have similar win/loss, but it won't be freakin drastic.

I think Scola will be the greatest improvement because I see a bulk of the pf minutes (26-28) whereas everyone else will be playing smaller amounts of minutes. Especially at the guard positions where u have james, francis, head on occassion and brooks for garbage time. I think Rafer will be moved, and if not, even less time for someone to make a significant impact in significant minutes.

    Scola and Brooks were huge

I miss JVG, but I'm a big fan of Adelaman so its equal... I wish we could have seen where JVG could have taken this team, though we wouldn't haver Bonzi I believe everyone else would have came like Francis ect. still.

I think scola but I'm going from the standpoint that we had 0 PF's at the time so picking up scola we went from 0 to at least having a commodity whereas getting francis adds to our glutton of guards.

Adelman would be a positive as well but it's not as if JVG is a horrible coach. I just think he's a good beginning coach that can lay a foundation so that another coach such as adelman can come and build upon it.

Definately hiring Adelman. He is responsible for bringing in Francis, Bonzi and possibly Brooks. No way Francis and bonzi can be a Rocket if JVG is still the coach.

Francis, Scola, and Wells are all question marks IMO. I expect James to be James. I think Francis and Wells to both bounce back. Just a hunch based on the fact both players are hungry and humbled. Wells is already in noticeably better shape. Francis has something to prove.

I hope Scola has an impact but I just don't see him starting. And while he should play well I think he will disappoint the majority here that assumes he is ready to be a 15 and 8 guy.

Obviously Adelman would have the greatest impact, he is completely changing our philosophy. We will see our two best players in completely different roles. You are a fool to not pick Adelman. *I didn't pick Adelman :) *

Trading for Scola. It was very unlikely, trading for a guy who's rights were sought after by lots of teams in the league, with a division rival to plug the most glaring hole of our roster.
Take a bow, mister Morey, or might I say, chapeau...

Adelman changes the entire team philosophy on how to play/win games.

Hirin' Adelman was the main change. No questions about it. But of course singin' Bonzi or Brooks was important too.
