    Van's a basketball genius. I mean he won championships dealing with women. C'mon, he could coach both teams. He's a proven winner and he's good people too.

    He may be a good choice, but I can't take that guy seriously ever since those Hoops basketball system commercials he does on 610 started airing. Man, Van and "Lil' Nicko" have had some crazy adventures.

    Sure. That sounds great. Van Chancellor and Calvin Murphy can rotate head coaching duties. Maybe we could keep Larry Smith somewhere on the bench as well. Then, if we can side-step child labor laws, we can get 'Little Nicko' to edit film for us.

    Van C. isnt a Coach, hes an organiser of Star players,just like Riley[Lakers] and Jackson {Bulls and Lakers}.

    lol. i watched one of those rocs games where van chancellor took over calvin's place coz of cal's absence, and i didnt understood a word he said..

    The funniest thing about this thread is that anyone who's followed the Comets knows Van Chancellor is completely neurotic about point guards and centers.
    Imagine what he'd do with the Rockets. It's almost sick.

    Van Chancellor is a fantastic coach and should be the number one option for top assistant. He's very good designing plays, making in game adjustments, working with egos and prima- donnas, good at handling player conflicts and getting a smart substitution at the right time. He takes no guff and runs a sharp team.

    I'd absolutely support him as head coach in a surprise move, with the right STAFF of ex-players to pull it off. The right job though, is top assistant. It's going to be much easier to hire a new women's coach than it will be to find anyone else that would bring as much at his price.
