Rumor has it Denver might be willing to give Blake up for the Cavs 2.1 million trade exception. Anyone think the Rox could benefit from having him here. He has a 2.6/.82 assist to turnover ratio and is a pass first PG. He cant shoot threes(except against us the other night), but I think our team has gotten use to playing with a PG who doesnt shoot threes well. I think he can spell some minutes for Rafer and wouldnt cost us much. No he isnt a big name guard, but I dont see the Rox being able to get a big name PG without giving up something important.
i might be wrong, but last i heard JVG said that Rafer is our PG and that's that, i think he's just getting out of a slump and we shouldn't be too worried, we're winning so i expect us to be even better when he shoots himself out of the slump... but that's just my opinion, i could be wrong.
I think personally Rafer is going to be the PG for our team. HOWEVER I seriously do not like the backup plans we have at the moment. Blake would be a solid guard to put in with the second unit. This would take pressure of T-mac in terms of playmaking. I think any move that lets T-mac do less assist work and concentrate on being aggressive will help this team take it to the next level. Blake is a possible answer to this. Hows his defence though?
There is a reason Blake was traded, and is now being considered traded again to the Cavs. (the reason is he sucks)
I dont think he sucks. He did well against us and started tonight against Portland. He has 23 pts (8-11 fg), 4 assists, 3 stls with 5 mins left in the third quarter.
He's got 23 points halfway through the third right now against Portland. Maybe Denver will want to keep him if he keeps playing like this.
Blake would be a much better backup PG than JL3 and his play could inspire Rafer to get himself together.
