It all depends on how the Mavs play next season. They will probably be fairly decent, and as Rocketman and NIke pointed out, Finley will probably wanna stick around as they improve more.

Everybody is talking about trying to get Webber to come to the Rockets the following year but what about Michael Finley. If the Rockets decide to go after Moiso or Oyedeji in the draft Finley would make an excellent addition the following year. I'm sure the Rockets won't have a problem getting Finley away from the Mavs.

    Roster 2001:
    C Cato
    PF Moiso/Oyedeji
    SF Finley
    SG Anderson/Mobley
    PG Francis

I'd love that, but don't be too sure that Finley will leave the Mavericks. If they can continue the improvements from last year, they should be a decent team.

Of course, Finley, Nowitski and Nash could all fall for the same sexy singer, and all could go to crap.

Geeze, the one player Don Nelson won't let go in a stupid three-team trade would be Finley. I would say he is untouchable as far as the Dallas organization is concerned. I see Cedric Ceballos out a lot at Hooter's in downtown and some other places, he is a cool cat. But anyway, my point is that Ced has told me in the past that Finley is to Dallas as MJ was to Chicago. They think he is the saviour and the leader that will propel them deep into the playoffs when all the pieces of the puzzle are in place. Unless we were to trade Francis, I dount Finley is going anywhere.

Yeah, I know that Dallas would never trade him but he is going to be a FREE AGENT the following year. It's up to Finley not Nelson.

The Rockets organization is far more respectible than the Mavs and if the Rockets can entice Finley about the possibility of him teaming up with Francis they would become maybe the most exciting 1-2 punch in the NBA.

    SS,

Cuban won't let it happen. I doubt that Finley will even explore his options. You don't leave as a good thing gets better. Plus, I think Francis-Mobes-Anderson-Norris will be the best backcourt in the league for years to come. The Rox will be concentrating on the frontcourt next off season especially if they take a swing man in this year's draft.
