Sorry if this is an old/odd question, but I've been SO out of the BBS loop for while. I've been lurking again since the lottery drawing...but don't recall any posts debating the merits of Dunleavy as our future 3 if we indeed wind up sending the pick elsewhere. I'm curious as to whether there's any support for him coming to Houston??? Thanks for letting me back in!!
The Rockets certainly aren't going to take Dunleavy at #1 (at least they better not ). That being said, I think if the pick is traded it will certainly involve the Rockets getting a SF in return, most likely Odom. Unless Dunleavy falls down to 8, and the Rockets end up with that pick, I think he is out of the picture.
There were actually several threads discussing Dunleavy a while back (one of which that was particularly large). The search feature is disabled right now, but here are the ones I could find. The one started by UTWeezer that features aelliot is the best, in my opinion. Check 'em out. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33597 http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33251
Most conjecture has Dunleavy not lasting past the #4 pick (Memphis) while most of the trade scenarios have us picking at #5 of beyond. That's why no Dunleavy for the Rox.
Thanks for the update on the info on the old posts. Given all of the seeming negative regarding Mings availability, at this point, sans assurances from China, et al - I would strongly prefer to bring in "MATURE" player who can/will do all the little things AND be the #3 scorer on the team!!
