Here is my plan to solve our backcourt problems. I say we trade sura and wesley to the clippers for corey maggete and the #32. After that we should use the #24 to draft jared jack. With the 32 we draft the best available big man. Ming/Mutombo Howard/#32/Bown Mcgrady/Pagett Maggette/Barry Jack/James
Clips laugh at us horribly and hang up the phone. Just a little advice, try not to start new threads for crazy trade ideas, it's an invitation for a good bashing.
Brilliant! But I do have one question involving the negotiation process, how is CD going to slip roofies into Elgin Baylors drink via telephone?
How about Wesley and a future 2nd rd for the #32 and Wilcox? We would get a HIGH 2nd rd pick in a very deep draft. We get Wilcox with a year left to decide whether he will actually pan out. (could look really good with Yao playing next to him) (I did say could not would...) If not he will be gone. We still get a better second rd pick then we will be giving and I believe that that in itself is enough incentive to counteract the difference in production from Wesley to Wilcox. Again there might not be. Wilcox COULD still pan out.
Guys, i believe someone should pass the bong quickly before we get MoT junior errrr Wilcox from the Clippers. You won't need to slip a roofie to Elgin as he has had his own supply for years and has had worse deals than the first one mentioned. If he is on his anti-depressants too(from working for Sterling), he may go ahead and throw in their first.
We'd have trouble just getting Maggette alone in that transaction much less getting Maggette AND a pick
Well a variation of this was suggested in the "Major Changes" thread. The thinking is that the Clips want to move Maggette while "trading down" in salary in order to make a run at Joe Johnson. Wilcox or Kaman fits into our TE so the Rox could help them in that respect. I don't see what sane man would do such a deal. But this is just the kind of nonsensical, lateral move that Sterling/Baylor are known for.
