Between all the bourroughs and Manhattan, that place rocks as far as night life(all night, every night)....anyway...Lots of good stuff in your post..I would love to see CWebb come, but,if something is on the burner, I kind of hope that perhaps Miami might move Mason or Grant. It all sounds enticing ,but that might work....What do you think the Knicks would give up?...Camby or Houston invoved.
Great sig down there SamIam.....Kevin Smith has it working.

I can't see Dream going to Miami. Not only do they have Zo coming back next season, they have too many big men for Hakeem to see much playing time. It would be easier for me to see him in LA, where he could play the 4 and start alongside O'Neal, though they have nothing they could trade us (so he'd have to sign there for the exception). Dream loves Vancouver, but I don't know that he could take the losing. Phoenix really needs a decent center, and they've got talent to move: but Coangelo doesn't seem to be willing to give up what it takes to get a good big man.

I'm beginning to think the CWebb rumors are all pipe dreams: he's gonna re-sign with the Kings unless the Knicks could put together a decent sign-and-trade that gets him his $$ and a shot at going to the finals (which Sacramento isn't going to ever do, coming out of the West).

Oh, and thanks for the news, RRN.

    RRN,

I am pretty disappointed in you. How could you stay out until 3am the night before a game? We need you to be rested, man! Game time is 7:30.

My street sources are a wide variety of people both IN the NBA circle and IN the music industry. Ball players are really into the music industry and vice versa. There are a lot of things that I could've posted on here that would blow your mind. However, due to the nature of the business...some things are better left unsaid. I could write a BOOK on the things I've seen in the music industry and may perhaps do one day. If I wanted to make up stuff on this board, I can go for days and have over 1000 posts. I don't like to post that much because I enjoy reading them more. However, when I feel like there is something worthwhile noticed or noteworthy, I will post. Take what I post at your own risk, however I'm just giving you my personal observations and trying to give you a different perspective from what others have posted.

It would seem i have greatly underestimated ROCKET RICH NYC.

His posts have been able to unearth BOTH Clutch and Jeff from the depths of their respective self-imposed exiles ever since this trade thing got way outta hand. [IMG]

IF they are really self-imposed, that is.

    Again i apologize my friend.

Just keep tight-lipped about Jennifer´s situation, ok? [IMG]

    Rich,

Good info, and gang, we are all missing the most important thing he said. DREAM wants out !!!

If that is true, I would be more then happy to accomodate him in a trade, the only problem is that he comes off the books at the end of the year, and we get huge cap space.

Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the Rockets would trade him, more likely they will lesson his role...ala IR list, and let his contract expire quietly, that is what I would do.

And what, pray tell, are we going to do with that capspace?

Webber? He stays put or go to NY. Finley is staying put. And i actually think that Reef is more useful to us than him, anyway. Mutumobo? Not for the long run, he is way too old.

If Dream wants out, and Vancouver is acceptable, it´s a no brainer.

    Reeves included or not.

We would have only Mo and the luxury tax to worry about.

Mo and Shandon are going to look to get paid this off season, unless SA waits one more year for his bird rights.

    Yep, that´s what i said.

    Shandon WILL wait.

Mo on the other hand, really is a problem.

But he could get next year´s 4.5 mil exception, and the year after that his bird rights gurantee the jackpot.

After he said that the team could go to the finals with the players we ALREADY have, i have a lot of faith in the chemistry that is developing and that Mo will sign with us for the long run.

Maybe Mo's saying that because he doesn't want the Rockets to trade for someone that will take all their (that is, his) cap-space and keep him from cashing in with the Rockets. So, he's subtly trying to convince CD and RT they don't need to make a trade.

Maybe Mo needs to be drug tested.

I got drunk with John Entwhistle once. Actually, he was drunk I wasn't. He had 9 cognacs, I had like 2. He paid. For all of us. I could write about that.

Shandon Anderson is a very good player.

Nothing really that new but when I asked around about the Dream situation, here's what I was told. Dream wants out but the Rockets organization are afraid to let go of him in fear of public backlash. They don't want a PR nightmare. To Dream and to all these players...its all about the $$$$. Don't believe for one minute that these players are trying to play for the love of the game yadda yadda yadda. Even when Dream's contract expires, the Rockets are afraid to NOT renew his contract because of the possible Fan reaction. Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they knew for sure the fans wouldn't be mad to let go of Dream, I'm sure it makes their decision a lot easier to deal with. At any rate, it appears the Dream is ready to pack his bags and go somewhere else. It's kinda sad because he knows he's gonna get paid either way. He has the Rockets by the balls and he knows it. Well, I'm off to MSG. Report later tonight.

I dont think if we did trade Dream it would cause any PR nightmare. The Knicks did it with Ewing, and nothing happened there...but then again, they are the Knicks. They might be one of the few teams to get by with it and still be very popular. Anyway, it will be sad to see Dream go but it seems that is the only way we can get a young star in here to turn us into real contenders.

I don't think there would be a problem if Dream just said that he wants to be the featured guy elsewhere.

The public would say good luck...similar to a Joe Montana deal.

Last night, while making my rounds around the clubs in New York City. I spotted Cuttino Mobley, Steve Francis, and Moochie Norris at this club called Sacci(41st and Broadway-near Time Square). As far as I could see, they were just chillin' and hanging out no drinking. I would like to first say...no more GAY posts about Steve and Cuttino please. They were with some really HOT women hanging out in the VIP area. Evidently, Steve Francis was at the Mass vs. N.C. game last night but left at halftime to come back to NYC. A lot of celebs from the Hip Hop world were there - Jay Z, Missy Elliott, to name a few. A total music industry crowd having a good time. Don't worry, they left pretty early so you can bet they will be ready for gametime. As for me, I left the club around 3am. I did hear some basketball talk. Nothing really new except that the word on the street is that DREAM wants to leave the Rockets. His top choices are Miami, Phoenix, Vancouver, and the Lakers. He is definitely going to try to play next year elsewhere unless Houston PAYS him $$$. It breaks my heart to hear that because he's my favorite player. I hear he really is not happy and he's out of touch with the other players. There is an interest for Dream from New York - although I hear Dream would NEVER play for New York. Thank goodness. Other tidbits...
Although New York wants Webber badly, some people have mentioned that Webber is considering ALL options - including Houston. Hearsay - He likes Houston. More than likely, word on the street is he will stay in SAC. It's all about the $$$$. As far as a Rockets trade in the works, something seems to be going down but nobody at the club would talk. Sorry guys, I tried to find something.
I'll be at the game tonight and will try to snoop around MSG.
