You have to admit that this whole series of shennanigans by the democrats in congress is a complete disgrace and a direct slap at the founding principles of the democratic process. Basically what they are saying is be damned with the process outlined in the constitution for passing a law, we will do it our way and subvert the process any way we can and "deam" necessary.

This is the type of tactics that communist dictators use in third world countries to dispose opposition and seize power for themselves. Its not the way things are done here in the USA under the doctriines outlined in the constituion by our founders. However it doesn't surprise me that this group would stoop to this level, just look at who they hold high on a pedastal; Chavez, Castro, Marx, Alinsky....and the list goes on. Look at the people who surround this administration, nothing but common criminals, tax evaders, racists and just plain bad people to the core.

How do you pass a bill without voting on it?

I pary each and every night to God that these baffoons will fail at their mission to destroy the greatest nation on God's green earth by turning it down a road of soft tyranny and socialism.

November can't get here fast enough, and anyone who voted "yes" for this bill will all be booted out on their butts. And anyone care to bet that they will try and say.....wait for it........"we didn't vote for this bill"?

What a bunch of spoiled, malcontent children. I guess the silver lining is that they are showing there true color in the first year.

And with all the arm twisting, Chicago style strong arming, bribery, promised favors, kickbacks, etc. I am sure there are multiple ethcis violations for us to keep a sharp eye on. Lets follow the congressmen and senators who vote yes and get fired and see where they land. And the best part is even after all of this there is a strong possiblity that the bill STILL WON'T PASS!

All you working class democrats need to be out raged that your party has been hijacked by a group of extreme left winged liberals a.k.a. communists who long for ultimate power and control. Fortunately in the USA the people still control the power.

    God Bless America.

The real Americans must rise up against this oppressive communist regime! Us patriots need to tell Barack HUSSEIN Obama that we've HAD ENOUGH of his higher taxes! We've HAD ENOUGH of his Hitler-esque healthcare! We've HAD ENOUGH of his attempts to destroy America!

Fight the good fight, fellow citizens!

They are voting on it. You seem confused about what "deem" and pass means. Do you realize that the "deem and pass" trick isn't about getting the bill to pass, and is more about politics and election campaigns?

Also, why are you referencing rules and procedures that have been used many times by members of both parties as evidence that the Democrats are showing a blatant disregard for the Constitution?

You seem angry, but your anger appears to be based on misconceptions and misinformation. I would consider calming down a little, understanding what is really going on and what it means, and considering why so many people feel that this is a good thing for us, not a bad thing.

In 12 years of Republican control Deem and Pass was used 200 times. In fact when it came to rules legislation under the GOP led congress recently it was used 1 out of every 3 bills.

There is nothing unconstitutional about it. It has been to trial and was deemed a legal process.

Actually, no. Dictators historically murder, beat and jail people who oppose them. It's what is happening right now in China and Iran. We are NOTHING like them.

What is happening here is EXACTLY what makes our country so strong. We can disagree and nobody is getting beat to death in the streets over it. Just because your personal opinion isn't being upheld doesn't make it communist ...no matter how many times you say it.

You're exactly right my friend. The democrats are evil. Thank you brother for voicing what we all are thinking.

If those d*mn libs knew anything, they would use lies/half truths, fear mongering, and overall hate speech to coax the nation into believing in their cause. You're either with us, or you're against us garbage, so on and so forth. For shame libs, you need to take a page out of the GOP playbook.

No anger here.......just comtemp for any politician who willingly violates their oath. I don't care what party they claim to represent. There are plenty of republicans, I beleive you refer to them as rino's who could stand to be booted out of office.

Quite honestly there has been a steady dose of this type of thing going on since the days of FDR when he openly disliked the fact that the supreme court was voting everything he was wanting to do as unconstitutional. So, much like Obama and the present day democrats, he schemed a way to change the deck by adding more justices to the supreme court.......and then he nominated his people to vote in his favor.

The constitution is a pretty simple document that gives all the power to the states and, by design, limits govermental power at the federal level. But the politicians have incrementally over stepped this boundary time and again to the point where now they feel a precedent has been set and nobody will mind if they continue to do it with bolder and bolder steps.

They have admitted that nobody even really knows what is entirely in the bill, heck its got more pages then my bible. They won't even post it online so that the people can read it, that alone should scare the pants off everyone.

There is no way this is budget neutral, no way the government can manage something this big with any sort of efficiency. There is a reason that so many doctors don't accept medicare, its a pain to proces the paperwork and adds unthinkably to the overhead of running a practice. There is also no way that accountability will be enforced. They have yet to do it on anything else they have taken over; see social security, welfare and medicare.

They claimed that social security would be put into a secluded fund and never be spent on anything else. They also claimed that instituting welfare would end poverty as we know it; apparently they are still working out the kinks 50 years later. Instituting a federal standard for education was supposed ti improve things for everyone yet we have some of the worst academc scores among developed countries.

There is a reason that the USA is the greatest country in the world and its because we don't succumb to government control. We like our freedom and the choice of succeeding and failing on our own.

As a people we need to take steps to secure that freedom back from the federal level and to the states where it belongs and we can keep a better, accountable eye on things.

You're free to have this opinion, and to me it's great that you have an opinion and are willing to voice it. But it concerns me that you are so adamant about it, and so frustrated (if not angry) by the behavior of certain people that you disagree with, while providing misconceptions and misinformation as a large part of the basis for that frustration.

The fact that several of your beliefs turn out to not be true at all should give you just a little pause. Maybe instead of letting the taunts and the bickering get you riled up, you should ignore those and focus on finding out if your beliefs are grounded in fact. There's a good chance that a lot of them are, you might end up feeling stronger about them.

By the way, I'm not trying to "own" you, I'm trying to point out that it's easy to fall into a trap of believing only those things that reinforce your previous notions. It takes effort to avoid that, but the benefit of doing so is significant. The politicians you have such contempt for, and the people that support those politicians are generally good, smart people with good intentions and thoughtful reasoning behind their decisions. I think that if you tried to understand those intentions and reasons you might learn a lot, regardless of whether it changes your mind or not.

That's not the real bill silly rabbit. There's a double super secret bill that Democrats are going to pass without voting on it because Obama put the whole country in a voodoo trance.
