the lakers are one of the most popular franchises in sports. they have one of the biggest sports superstars in the world. there are a lot of laker fans not only in houston but all over. of course they are going to have a solid fanbase no matter which area they go too. from someone who was at the game, their was alot of rockets fans cheering for the rockets.
Astros Cubs, Astros Braves, Texans Stealers, Rockets Heat, Rockets lakers. It doesn't matter what sport it is, Houston has a ton of transplants and band wagoners. I was at the Heat game last season and Toyota Center was packed with Heat fans.
West coast transplants and children whose parents were from the West coast that raised them Lakers fans + Bandwagoners + StarF&*%ers + easily available tickets = Lakers douchebaggery at the Rockets game.
