    It's an indictment unto itself that this is necessary. But the threat is real. Government officials with access to unflattering information and a bone to pick would probably want to hold their powder for an October Surprise. I will not be surprised to see a bunch of leaks embarrassing to the president in the run-up to the general election. It's pretty telling that previous presidents didn't have to worry too much about that kind of stuff while Trump does, but he absolutely does need to worry.
