March 2004 is the goal. I think that would be the part to the Sam Houston Tollway.

    Thanks guys!

My office is located at the tollway and Clay Rd. (1/2 way between 290 and I-10). I wanted to live inner loop to avoid all the traffic hassles and such.

I was thinking of taking that Westpark Tollway to Sam Houston and head North.

    you think this is kosher??

You would probably have fairly light traffic on the Westpark Tollway because you would be going against the normal expected commuter flow of inbound (mornings) and outbound (evenings).

Sam Houston Tollway -- Seems like you are looking at roughly 8 - 9 miles on that part of the trip. There are moments in the evenings when it creeps along with blockages at the toll plazas and I-10.

What times would you be on the Sam Houston Tollway? Somebody in your office that drives that part of the Tollway that could comment?

Im moving back to the same place I had when I lived in Houston last year (610 and 59 area).

I'll probably leave for work around 7am and return home between 5:30 and 6:00.

    My proposed route:
    West on Westpark tollway.
    North on Sam Houston.
    Exit Clay Rd.

I live somewhat near that area.

I live north of 290 though.

The news24 Houston center is there. I think.

They say Spring of 2004 but it looks like they still have a long way to go to me. It feels like it's a long way out of the way but, I go Beltway 8 to 59 in and out of town all the time and it is faster than trying to cut through all the lights on Harwin or Westheimer etc.

Beltway 8 West does stack up pretty bad at rush hour but it is generally opposite from the way you are talking about. It's bad southbound in the morning and northbound in the afternoon. The state is in the process of adding lanes now though.
