This year's WC playoff race is unique in my memory in that of the 9 teams still legitimately in the running, none of them is in a position to coast for a few games or rest starters. With the seeding and home court advantage still up for grabs, top-to-bottom, there are no nights off whatsoever.

With that in mind, here are the records for the last couple of months. With the exception of teams that were affected by major injuries (Gasol, for example), this is an accurate indication of who's playing well and is likely to make some noise in the post-season.

    Records since February 1

    HOU 26-5 .839
    LAL 24-8 .750
    SAS 23-8 .742
    UTA 23-8 .742
    NOH 22-9 .710
    PHO 18-11 .621
    GSW 18-11 .621
    DEN 19-12 .613
    DAL 16-15 .516

    Records since March 1

    NOH 15-4 .789
    UTA 14-4 .778
    HOU 13-5 .722
    PHO 12-6 .667
    SAS 13-7 .650
    LAL 11-6 .647
    DEN 11-7 .611
    GSW 11-8 .579
    DAL 8-9 .471

Yeah!!!! :D Since we are unlikely to be the 1st seed, the fifth may be the best!
