Now is a good time to start looking ahead to the playoffs. Which teams do you think will occupy the 1-8 seeds? What will their records be? I'll start: 1 LAL 66-16 2 SAS 59-23 3 HOU 55-27 4 DEN 55-27 5 NOH 53-29 6 UTA 52-30 7 PHO 49-33 8 POR 47-35 Notes on my analysis; The LAL & SAS are rolling and will continue to be NBA darlings, HOU will start stringing together wins with a 28-10 push, edging out DEN with the tie breaker, NOH schedule catches up to them, UTA gets a bit stronger, PHO & POR close out the bottom of the seeding as DAL falls out due to schedule and chemistry.
you know what? i agree with your rankings, and would only make minor changes to the record predictions. well done.
Houston / Utah for the 3rd straight time? I'm kind of mixed on that because I would love to just pound them into the ground but history could repeats itself.
If we play Utah in the first round and lose again you'll probably never see me again. I don't mean just on this board, I mean I literally might disintegrate into thin air after my head explodes. That having been said, I definitely want to beat these guys to get this bad taste out of all our mouths! I'll be cool with whichever match up we draw.
We only beat the Jazz in the playoffs in years when we win the championship. They only beat us in years where they do nothing!
my perfect playoff run would be to beat utah, dallas, and either the spurs or hornets. then finsh against the defending champs.
I think the perfect playoff run would be... Utah (or Dallas), San Antonio, Los Angeles, and then Boston (or Orlando).
What can you know? You're a rookie! Spoiler Just kidding! I guess once you get downgraded there's no way back up, huh?
I'll give it a shot. 1. Los Angeles Lakers: 64-18 2. San Antonio Spurs: 59-23 3. Denver Nuggets: 55-27 4.New Orleans Hornets: 54-28 5. Houston Rockets: 51-31 6. Portland Trail Blazers: 49-33 7. Phoenix Suns: 47-35 8. Dallas Mavericks/Utah Jazz: 46-36
I hope the Rockets finish anywhere they do not play the Utah Jazz again. Let's be clear, the Rockets must not play the Jazz again in the first round. Enough with pain and disappointment. I mean it. Forget revenge, think avoidance at all costs.
