Mavs, and anyone who knows me knows how incredible that is for me to say.

I'm just far, far too bitter to cheer for the Spurs for quite a long time, regardless of who they play. The odds of Finley hitting both of those shots... the odds of New Orleans folding up shop in OT... the odds of Byron Scott not having the common sense to foul... I've never seen a luckier group in my life. Take 'em out, Mavs. Hopefully in a painful manner.

Hopefully they play a game 7 that goes into overtimes for eternity.

Mavs always give the Spurs a hard time because they are a jump shooting team that sort of plays in the half-court. As long as they hit their shots like they have the past few weeks, I think they can beat Spurs team that is holding on for dear life, requiring ridiculous buzzer beaters by Finley and Mason to win games.

    I honestly don't have a clue.

I'll just say the Spurs in 7 for the hell of it.

The Mavericks will beat the Spurs in 7 games. They are going to run Duncan's knees into dust.

I vote that we hope that a plane crashes into a stadium while they're playing and miraculously wipe out only the players.

I strongly dislike the Spurs. I abhor the Mavericks.

I hope Duncan hits 4 game winning three pointers for a sweep to make Mark Cuban shed some more tears like he has the past two seasons.

Don't like either one.Would prefer to see the Spurs win but I expect Dallas to come through because of the injury problems that SA is facing.

I think the Mavs are better right now and should win, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Spurs outwit them and take the series.

Who are you and quit posting as The Cat now!

    Getting back to the thread...

Ugh, what an awful choice to make. Hate both of these teams with a passion but I guess I am going to have to go with the Spurs although I am so sick and tired of seeing them advance past the first round while our Rockets are sent home packing. Yet, Mark Cuban himself alone makes me root against the Mavericks. I threw up in my mouth a little bit last night when they showed that damn fool celebrating after last night's game.

Have to go with Spurs in 7 in this series. Even without Ginobili, I think the Spurs have a balanced offense, enough for them to get it done against the Mavs. For the Mavs, they will have a tough time scoring in some of the games, if Dirk is contained, they really have only one reliable option to go to and that's Terry. Josh Howard is still banged up, but he'll be the X-Factor for the Mavs. If they want to beat the Spurs, they need Howard to play well and take the scoring load off of Dirk and Terry.

It's all about coaching in this one, and Popovich will win.

Spurs for me. I respect the Spurs so much more but not only that, i'm going to cheer for a team that plays actual inside-outside *BASKETBALL* and wins the right way versus a team of jump shooting softies like the Mavs.

Last night reminded me all over again of 2005 and how there's not a player on Dallas that doesn't cry after every play.
