Thoughts on if we’ll be able to trade Westbrick based on his age and excessive salary? Assuming that we can, but it’ll definitely cost us another 1st round pick. Nothing new for Morey.

we probably can if we take another bad contract back... there’s always some desperate team that needs to make a splash

Interesting stat I saw today: In the last minute of a tied playoff game Harden and Westbrick are historically a combined 5-41 on fg attempts, which is the worst shooting percentage in the NBA in the past 23 years.

Ouch -- that is interesting. Would like to see what it is for each of them individually.

I mean, are you looking for "Harden 5-5, Westbrook 0-36?" I doubt there's a lot of variance to "combined 5-41."

Haha, probably true. But more just curious what the sample sizes would be for each of them. I don't recall Harden being in too many really close playoff games.

Just be happy they didn’t include Eric Gordon or for that matter turnovers. Harden is definitely not 5-5. Probably something more like 3-21. Props, though, to Harden for not ever throwing up an airball that is five feet short of the basket in mega crunch time. I’m happy I’m not the owner who has to sign that 48 million per season paycheck.

Thanks JR....those two are too good to shhot that poorly. In all fairness our easiest playoff games the last several years have always been against OKC with Westbrook.

Russell westbrook and eric gordon for lillard and whiteside.... portland can trade mccolum and stuff for kevin love... and they can have a college reunion in portland. Houston finally gets the pg they need next to harden since paul. We can finally use a center again as well. If only the basketball gods would allow it.

I remember Westbrook taking and bricking lots of late game shots in OKC. He basically went bonker hero ball when the game was close and he never seemed to be able to hit a shot in that situation. OKC lost a lot of games like that. But maybe my memory is not that reliable.

Kind of a silly stat. Maybe if they also included the shots those two took in the last minute of playoffs games that were close—say a difference of three or fewer points—it would work. Or shot in the last 10 seconds of tied games would work as well. But as it is, it just seems like cherry picking stats for the most negative impact.

Not saying either have been great in those situations, but that stat seems to have been chosen specifically to make them seem even worse.

Conley has an expiring. Mitchell needs a 2.

Westbrook/Gordon for FRP, Conley and Clarkson.
