I just despise his game. It's the worst kind of player as he knows not how dumb he is. He overplays on defense and gets blown by, can't shoot, turns the ball over and talks like a fool when he makes the 1 of 10. Kevin Durant knew he'd never with with him and now we're stuck with him. Low basketball IQ in an increasingly technical game is why he blows every playoffs. Harden is extremely skilled but doesn't have the athleticism to get the LeBron, Kobe, Jordan type separation. He relies on skills and craftiness which isn't called in playoffs. So we have these two and will never win with them. I think Harden with an Anthony Davis would be insane but Harden will never play with a player of that caliber. One year with a reasonable Chris Paul and he almost beat the best team ever. His loyalty to Russ will be his downfall.
The sad thing it’s a surprise to most of this board who overwhelmingly thought wb was a good fit next to harden

Russell Westbrook is not a good basketball player. The Rockets have to change coaches as MDA has been out coached the last 3 games and hasn’t made adjustments... but I cannot see anyone winning with Westbrook... which is too bad because Harden deserves better.
I didn’t like the trade, the assets attached were insane. Yes Paul being hurt was a concern but I felt the defensive down grade and poor shooting was too much... I didn’t expect him to be quite as stupid as he is. I can see why KD wanted away from him.
Like I've said in other places, analytics haven't caught up with Westbrook. There's no measurable statistic to show just how bad of a player he is. Killing momentum, giving up tons of 4, 5, and even 6 point swings, and entire quarters of brain fart basketball. If only there were a statistic that took point swings, turnovers, shooting percentages and +/-, or something kind of similar, all into account.
That would be awesome, imagine all the marketing dollars for Tilman "Beard and Brow" practically sells itself

Not sure if the joke has gone over my head here but actually the analytics have been on to him the whole time. His MVP year was no doubt exceptional. But it’s been a steep downhill slide since then and this year only continued the trend.

Harden shouldve tried harder to make it work with Chris. Paul/Harden/Capela/Tucker/EG3/House/Rivers would've beaten this Lakers team. Everyone's at fault. Honestly I blame Russ the least because I feel like he doesn't know any better.
