I'm surprised nobody has shown an interest in the election being held today. The polls I've seen have Hillary making a very strong showing. Why aren't voters breaking for Obama, since he's about to "declare victory"?

The Obama campaign has been trying to minimize the importance of WV and KY for the last week. This was all pre-planned because they know just how weak Obama is with the white, working class voters that comprise these two states. By trying to say the race is over, they are attempting to discourage voting in these states. Just like Michigan and Florida, they'd prefer for these two states to not matter. It's sad that a candidate campaigning for votes, would not want some votes to matter. Very sad. You'd think that their patriotism and belief in the democratic process would outweight their selfish ambitions. But in Obama's case, this is not the case.

Looking forward to the results tonight...

yes we get it, when he wins a small state you say he didn't win ohio or texas, when he doesn't win a small state you say why can't he win that state, when he wins a state with a very substanstial white majority, you say it doesn't matter because he won't win in the general, when he loses one you say he can only win black votes.

the stupidity and hilarity is that you are still fighting as if the primary matters anymore, jokes on you

apparently mark is in the minority of democrats.

[rquoter]Pushing back against political punditry, more than six in 10 Democrats say there's no rush for Hillary Clinton to leave the presidential race even as Barack Obama consolidates his support for the nomination and scores solidly in general-election tests.

Despite Obama's advantage in delegates and popular vote, 64 percent of Democrats in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say Clinton should remain in the race. Even among Obama's supporters, 42 percent say so.[/rquoter]

There are 2 reasons this isn't big news:

    1) Even a huge Clinton victory won't make a significant dent in Obama's delegate lead.

    2) The media is completely in the tank for Obama, so why bother giving Clinton's victory any coverage?

You'll have to ask Hillary that. She's the one dismissing the 30 states she lost as "not important."

Tonight is a statement night for Obama. Let's see if he is a uniter. Let's see if he can pull in the votes of people who he would otherwise need to 'unite'. Is he a uniter? Or just more of the same, but very good at mouthing teleprompted words? We shall see...

Well, we know that probably 85% of would-be voters in tonight's elections will not be voting for Obama for President. So in other words, all of the Republicans and 70% of the democrats would not be voting for Obama, if given the choice. Sweet. The uniter.

Wow, I'm hearing whispers coming out of West Virginia that the lead for Clinton may be as much as 40%. Obama has a real problem with these folks.

It's garbage time. Even drudge does not care, at least not as of right now. Hillary can pad her stats all she wants, the game is over.
