I'm not convinced that the Rockets are a Contender. They still lack toughness. I predict a 0-4 or 1-3 for the upcoming road trip. Our 2 superstars are soft.
Well Sura will be back for the Suns game. I say 2-2 at worst. I think we will beat the Kings and the Warriors for sure. I wouldnt be surprised if we went 3-1.
We'll win all the games in this road trip. The way we're playing D, we can beat any team in the NBA. As a team, we've been playing better. Everyone is healthy except Sura and we'll get him back on the trip too.
People dont give sonics enough respect. They are a muchdifferent team now. They can beat quality team when Allen is shooting like 3 of 17. They dominate on boards and have great shooters.
I think this will be a very difficult stretch of games but I dont think it will necessarily gauge how good this team is. It often takes a couple of games before chemistry is rediscovered. Consequently sometimes you take a step back while players get adjusted to one another again. Sura will have to get used to being the floor general again and James will have to adapt to the spark off the bench. If we go .500 on this road trip we should be very proud of our team.
While Rox are playing these four, what awaits Nugs and Lakes? I am concerned about the chasers. I am concerned about the Rox. If Rox can take care of biz then there is no looking back. If.
Memphis Lakers Minn Denver Rockets 7 @Clips Port 8 @Sac Clips Char @Sea 9 10 @Dal @Mia 11 @Utah @Orl @Pho 12 @Port @Char @S.A. 13 Dal Pho @Sac 14 Port @Wash @G.S. Hope that helps. Looks like everyone in a grind.
Of Rox four the only back2back for any is the Rox when they meet the loose and scary Warriors. Two wins and they are good. Four and look out Association.
That didn't turn out like I expected! Let me rephrase. Memphis plays @Clips, @Sac, @Utah, @Portland & Portland. Lakers play Clips, @Dallas, @Char & @Washington. Denver plays Portland, @Spurs & Phoenix. Minnesota plays Char, @Miami, @Orlando & Dallas.
Heck, any road stretch where you go .500 should be considered good. I wouldn't even too disappointed in a 1-4 trip. The Warriors just picked up Baron Davis and combined with Jason Richardson (and improved play by Derek Fisher) they are an improved team. And SAC is always tough on their own floor.
The worst case senario has the Rockets in the ninth or tenth spot in the west after the trip, out of the playoffs. That would be really discouraging. Frankly, I am worried about Ming, he seems spent, and the team really needs him. Sura coming back will hopefully be a spark. The team as a whole is not playing like they were on the eight win streak.
I hate when "supposed" rocket fans start threads like this! I mean, what's your point? What are you trying to prove or get out of it? If you think our two best players are soft then why do you visit and post on a Rockets FAN site? I understand that people are intitled to their own opinion, but I just don't understand why people do certain things......maybe it's just me
