I think there is a significant amount of crazies among these settlers. They do not seem to be much different from their counterparts.

Strangely enough, no one is ever caught for these things. And to be fair to Shin Bet (Israel's FBI) it's not so easy. Just as Palestinian extremists are very fragmented and oppose each other, the same is true for the other side.

Even amongst the settlers there's a huge range of ideologies and belief...but I have a special revulsion for the "Price Taggers." They have no shame. They also burn mosques and desecrate Muslim and Christian cemeteries as well.

My hope is that the Vatican gets involved at some point.

It doesn't matter to them. For this type of person, their ideology is the law, and there are either believers or non-believers. The blood of non-believers is cheaper than the blood of believers. Protecting the rights and property of believers is more important than protecting the property and rights of non-believers. The importance of enforcing their ideology supercedes any rule of law. We have seen this before, and our treatment towards them should not differ based on WHICH ideology they follow. This goes for all the religions, all the non-religious, all the capitalists, the communists, neo-cons, whatever set of beliefs that (for them) constitutes an ideology to act upon.

An ideology is an ideology. It is none of anyone else's business, and it should not factor into a balanced approach against crime and violence. You can eliminate an entire religion and associated texts - the people who subsequently move into those circumstances will react exactly the same, concoct a standardized set of beliefs championed by 1 or more people, and use whatever means based on the circumstances to fix their problems. We do not go after the authors of every book that every criminal and every terrorist reads. Why these books? Why did we not go after Geert Wilders after we (for example) discovered that Andres Breivik drew inspiration from his books to engage in terrorism?

If the authors of religious books were persons who were alive today, you couldn't even hold them liable legally. They would never be held responsible for the independent interpretations and resulting actions of individuals who buy their book. In fact, it is far more convenient that these books don't have human authors, because then polar opposite extremists can use demonization of the texts as a form of incitement to justify (surprise surprise) bypassing due process and rule of law to achieve their goals.

If the authorities take a fair and balanced non-discriminatory approach to solving these issues, then there will be fewer and fewer people willing to shun the existing channels for remediation.

What a dumb question. Because Wilders never encouraged anyone to kill anyone. I mean...come on.

I am not even going to address the rest of another senseless Mathloom rant because it is so convoluted and confused.
